May 18, 201214 yr Unfortunately I'm in Leeds (at uni) so I shall have to watch it at home with my housemate who is a massive Spurs fan. A pub full of Chelsea fans would have been good, a normal pub is out of the question because I get animated during normal games so I have no idea what I'll be like tomorrow. A pub full of Chelsea fans would have been good, a normal pub is out of the question because I get animated during normal games so I have no idea what I'll be like tomorrow. I'll be downtown in Vancouver, Canada with the Chelsea supporters group over here with another 100 or so like minded fans. Only downside the pub isn't opening until 10:30am pacific time, which only gives us an hour and a quarter until kickoff for a pre game nerve calming. I think the mass of celery left there after the FA Cup final might have played its part in that... How the heck are we supposed to get through this stupid flipping Friday. I'm sick of waiting for this game! Does anyone else remember how Ajren used to go missing in games after he received a nice firm challenge in the first few minutes. Hopefully we make our presence felt early on with Ribery and Robben - could be important.
May 18, 201214 yr Author I've barely thought about the game this week unlike a lot of people, will be sh*tting myself as 7:45 rolls around tomorrow though no doubt. I hate really tense high pressure games like these, my heart always pounds for the whole match and my arms go all weird and pins & needly. Probably dying.
May 18, 201214 yr There's a German bar near me showing the game, but I'm not sure if that means it would just be mainly Bayern fans. Not a lot of good football bars where I live at, if I were to win the lottery I would definitely open one up. Ugh, my nerves are sh*t already, I feel awful today, tomorrow is going to be much worse.
May 18, 201214 yr He is a lot carmer than me Anyway logging off the weekend, on my trip to Munich Come on Chelsea !

No need to worry, if we lose we wont be in the CL next season so your nerves can have a rest ;)

I avoided everything until yesterday deliberately. I know I'd be a mess as soon as I started looking things up, and watching the pre-game reports. Sure enough, I'm now officially the most unproductive employee in the whole of North America today. Edited May 18, 201214 yr by Zola's Love Child
May 18, 201214 yr http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7764162/Bayern-boss-slams-Drogba "Sometimes he overdoes it a bit. Sometimes he's an outstanding actor on the pitch." Sounds like he's not heard about Rafa's teamtalk he gave to Didier a few years back. Looks like I'm piling my money on Drogs to be man of the match now!
May 18, 201214 yr I have an oral exam in a few hours, as soon as it's over, all my attention is transferring to Saturday. In the mean time, we should all give this a watch or 10, just to remind ourselves how we get there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5OaZxIO8LI immense. Looking back, its weird how all three players missing the game through yellows were at fault for Iniesta's goal (and Terry at fault cus he was off!)
May 18, 201214 yr I'd still say I'm more excited than nervous. It could be our last one for a while, so I'm just trying to enjoy every moment of the build up and drink it all in. Getting f**ked tonight too as I finished university today, so I've been pretty preoccupied to be feeling nervous! Soon as that champions league music plays prior to kick off however, the nerves will start to take over. Hopefully the beers will ease them a little. Opted against watching in a pub full of mancs in favour of watching with my old man at his place.
May 18, 201214 yr When I was a kid, I remember going to Cardiff to see Arsenal beat us 2-0, then go on to win the double..... I remember thinking to myself, Christ, I'll never see Chelsea do that, I'll never see them in the Champions League again, I'll never see them win it...... Now look at us..........in the Champions League final again, win this, and I'll die a happy man. We are so lucky as a club, and as supporters, win or lose, we've had some bloody good times! Next drink is on me lads and lasses.

My mates keep saying that they reckon the locals will be either impartial or on our side becasue it's against a German side. But I'm not convinced. So I'll probably go and watch it at my dads too. Although, I haven't completely ruled out heading down to London to watch it in the Imperial Arms. But that might mean I'll need to stand around drinking on my own for from about 4 o'clock. Hmmm.
May 18, 201214 yr I'm staying in tomorrow night, (though on the drink in the day, Poole Quay if anyone fancies it........pm me), then at night, my sister, her boyfriend (ex season ticket holder at Chelsea), my dad, best mate (Liverpool) and my mrs are getting loads of Chinese take away food in, few drinks...... Even letting my six year old lad stay up to watch, as a matter of fact, I insisted on it.
May 18, 201214 yr I`m out with my dad and my sister in my local, managed to convince them to come down and back me up surrounded by mancs and dippers. Landlord is a Spud, so if we win he is gonna get hammered by us
May 18, 201214 yr Can't wait for it now, every minute feels like an hour waiting for tomorrow. Just watched the final preview show on sky and they think if Malouda doesn't make it Essien should start on the right infront of Bosingwa to help deal with the threat of Ribery and Robben. It's going to be interesting to see who turns up on that right hand side tomorrow.
May 18, 201214 yr I keep telling myself if we can come out on top 3-2 after 180 mins against Barcelona we can beat anyone on a one off.

I still think we should start Torres on our right, he will track back and we need to get at their left side defence as its been decimated by bans and will be an entirely new unit.

I'm with you. Torres has always looked good out wide. A backheeled cross for Drogba to head in would be a legendary winner! There is still a part of me that thinks win at any cost and therefore I could live with us parking the bus and nicking it on one breakaway. So again, Torres could give us the breakaway potential that we will miss from Ramires.
May 18, 201214 yr For me, it just feels like Christmas eve today. Such a shame that after I wake up I have to wait about 9 hours to open my presents. If we win this I think it will rival Italy winning the world cup in 2006, what a night that was.
