If we were in Cardiff's shoes ..

Featured Replies

Just out of curiosity, if we had owners who decided to change our shirt colour from blue to another colour, how would you feel about it? (Taking everything into consideration e.g. new training facility, get rid of debt, money on new players etc).

Part of the reason I first came to love chelsea as a youngster was that they wore blue and most every other top team in England wore red. Granted, I was a young kid back then, but royal blue and west london were the things that convinced me Chelsea was going to be my team.

As far as Cardiff, I have no idea what is going on there. The new badge looks like sh*t, and if their turning to red is part of an effort to gain new fans in Asia I really doubt many are going to be suddenly switched on to Cardiff City FC.

"Fire and Passion"   My heart goes out to their supporters, they apparently did this after season tickets were renewed.

This reminds me of the Munto Finance fiasco at Notts County:

I've tried to shout "Come on you reds", but apart from the lack of pleasing internal rhyme, it just dies on my lips. Try it, and you'll see what I mean. It's impossible to get any force and conviction behind it.

Its all very strange tbh. You can't just change colour. What set of fans would ever go for that?!

Do whatever u want with a second or third kit but u just don't change the colour of the home strip from blue to red.

Madness.

I couldn't imagine not being in blue it would be outrageous. A fair few of our songs would be null if we changed. I dont remember Red is the colour or Red day getting the charts!

Roman knows how important things like that are to the supporters, he wont change the kit to sell more shirts in other parts of the world. Red = sh*t.

chinese new year, young unmarried people get lucky red money envelopes as shown by those degrading hsbc adverts! this is why many in the far east supported loserpool and manure but their support is backed up by their recent success and having players like ronaldo, rooney, gerrard and torres! having gone back recently to the far east the trend for many is to support successful teams with charismatic players, especially english players like lampard and terry. the reds do not rule! cardiff owner is stupid and has no real love for football, just a need to showcase his wealth to people back home on how well he is doing!

I wouldn't stop supporting the club, but I'd send them a strongly worded email.

I can't find the article anywhere Gem, but I remember reading somewhere that the trust find behind Chelsea passes to Arkady when he's old enough.

I would expect our match going fans to still wear blue and sing blue is the colour at every game...Perhaps this is just a clever stunt by Cardiff and they will resume their proper colours next season..
