A chant in the crowds will do nothing Star...Fans have no say in how the club is run nowadays

 

Fans have NEVER had a say in how the club was run. Since when did fans get to decide player contracts? At any club for that matter not just Chelsea? It's easy to demand the club do this or that, when it's RA's money you're spending!!

I can't see Frank beating the record on the games left (or minutes he gets in those games) but the fact he is second highest goalscorer is more than enough to be happy about.

I disagree..I think Frank boy will break the record .   He will play some part in probably 2 thirds of the remaining matches so its not far fetched......COME ON FRANK.....IF YOU ARE GOING OUT...GO OUT WITH A BANG.....

Seriously we are nuts if we get rid of him, this has been his best form for 2 years now.

What ever happens, us fans need to make sure the mugs at the top know how we feel about Lampard & his contract.

 

There needs to be banners displayed, chants ect even if the club announce he's going in the summer they need to know we wont let him go without a fight, we're Chelsea fans ffs we used to have loads of passion & fight in us, lets get it back until the day Lampard is finally gone.

As much I want Frank to stay, I accept that it is hard for a club to meet FFP regulations when they pay 150k+ a week to a 34 year old.

 

Then I realised, if money and FFP is the issue, surely Torres is the one that has to go. Earns more than Frank and does jacksh*t for the team.

Torres is 7 years younger than Lampard but I get ya. I'm 100% sure Torres will go in the summer, but it won't affect how the club deal with Lampard.

The way the club see's it that Lampard threatened to leave for Inter Milan and got a 5 year £150,000 per week deal, at the age of 30 yrs old. Which is very good. Now his agent is constantly leaking to the media and quite rightly fans are taking up his cause. Someone posted a link to a blog on here a week or so ago, that went into great detail. I can't remember the thread. But it explained it much better than I can, because the person had some insider info. It contrasted what happened with Drogba and Lampard. It was a fantastic blog and really made you think. I hope someone posts it again.

What about 34 yr old Paulo Ferreira, 33 yr old Yossi Benayoun, 33 yr old Florent Malouda, 38 yr old Henrique Hilario, get them off the wage bill & give their wages to Frank, they do nothing for the club now so get rid.

I would assume that either Ferriera and Hilario aren't on massive wages, or took pay cuts to stay at the club. Malouda now trains with the reserves/academy as a punishment for not taking a pay cut and/or moving to Brazil.

 

I'm sure I read somewhere that Benayoun is on £60k a week, most of which still been paid for by Chelsea. I bet the club are fighting tooth and nail to get him off the books.

Exactly. As a professional and as a role model he's just about perfect. Class act on and off the pitch, always 1st to go an applaud the away support.

While I've got the calculator out (   ), the transfer fee of Torres could have paid Frank's wages for 333 weeks (over 6 years)   (Assuming he's on 150k a week)

Whoaaa, Uno that is a terrible, but plausible scenario, what i'd like is that scenario, but scoring a hatrick, so he knows its his very last game for his beloved chelsea, scores the penalty with his usual ruthless efficiency, rips off his shirt as the final whistle blows, runs over to the royal box , points at Roman et al and gives the w**kers sign, the bridge erupts with spontaneous thunderous applause.

I don't think this has come from Roman, it smells more like something that Statler (Buck) & Waldorf (Gourley) would do!

Having said that, am I wrong or has Lampard started taking penalties in a different way? They used to be to the left or right, but the last ones I can remember has been more or less in the middle, high and with great power.
