May 13, 201313 yr Thought about it long and hard. Im my forty odd years of going to Chelsea, I have to say he is the greatest player we've had for many reasons. Not just the goals, it's his attitude, his intelligence and graciousness that shine. Many big names have come and gone but he's outshone them all. Well done Frank. Not just the goals, it's his attitude, his intelligence and graciousness that shine. Many big names have come and gone but he's outshone them all. Well done Frank. I was gushing (yes, gushing) to my Old Man last night about Frank. I basically said that seeing him break the record means a lot to me because I've grown up and watched his entire career at Chelsea. As much as I respect the likes of Tambling and Dixon they are before my time of supporting Chelsea, Lampard is my generation of Chelsea players and he is a player I have seen win every cup going and always respected the club and us fans. It's been an absolute honour to watch him play for Chelsea and I will miss him when he goes, for me I think he has now surpassed Franco Zola as our greatest ever player.
May 14, 201313 yr I've got The Captain and Tenille's Greatest Hits on 8-track - there are some songs on there. Edit to remove dong reference! Edited May 14, 201313 yr by yorkleyblue
May 14, 201313 yr Ha - 47 goals from outside the area? I wouldn't be surprised if that was in the running for a record itself...
May 14, 201313 yr really angry by the media coverage, or the non media coverage I should say, of this marvellous achievement. Quite remarkable that there was really fcuk all coverage, yet, that wee red minging c**t scholes is flashed all over the screen/papers having retired for 3rd or 4th time...(has he playted 10 games this season!!).... BBC the twats on saturday night could only give scant coverage of it (and it the only game for them to show)...........they spent more fcukn time talking about how Beneteke should have taken the ball on his chest instead of elbowing cesar..... Sky tv seemed to either have him or old whiskey nose on it.. Now if this had of been St Stevie me....coverage and all the goals replayed for a fortnight would have been order of the day/fortnight..... bar stewards............... rant over hope someone or the club make a video of all the goals......not just the ball hitting the net but decent lead up to them.............cheers.

May 14, 201313 yr haha my phone is crumbling everywhere, didn't do it on purpose. Interesting that your phone added umlauts to just two "oh" words, though. In Finnish "öh" is something you say when you're disappointed or confused (or both). A bit like saying "uh" in English.
May 15, 201313 yr Torygraph reporting Franks got a 1 year extension http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10057773/Chelsea-midfielder-Frank-Lampard-agrees-one-year-deal-to-remain-at-Stamford-Bridge.html Hope its for real, all we need now is the tin pot to cap a perfect week
May 15, 201313 yr I say ‘good feelings’ because, following our draw against Tottenham on Wednesday, winning at Villa Park was a ‘must-do’ in order not to leave everything pending for the final week. And we did it. Yet without Lampard’s contribution (once again) it would have been impossible. This last Saturday, 11/05/2013, will be remembered in the history of the club as the day when Frank became the all-time top goalscorer for the Blues. And he is a midfielder! Certain players seem to have a gift to appear in the right place at the right time, and ‘Lamps’ is one of them. Here I send my admiration and congratulations to him! I’ve never seen a midfielder with so much presence in the box and, therefore, with so much goal-scoring instinct. 203, to be precise. Not bad! *Juan Mata Not bad, indeed!
