May 11, 201313 yr Would be disrespectful to not give him a contract and also stupid, all that experience is worth so much especially to the younger lads coming in who will learn so much from him, the perfect role model on how to deal with everything off the football pitch and also on it. You simply dont throw a legend like that away. Please have a look at Manchester United and learn how to deal with this, Roman.
May 11, 201313 yr Just arrived in front of the telly the moment Frank scored the second goal, couldn't see the match before. I just had to cry (I'm a girl so that's ok)! So proud of you Frank!! Congratulations! Just hope RA isn't that stupid as I think. We need to keep him! What a special Chelsea moment, made me forget for a short time how sh*t our season has been. Thank you Frank!

(4): 2004–05, 2005–06, 2007–08, 2011–12 Just have a read through that, it takes some time. That is everything that Frank Lampard has done for Chelsea (and England), right there. I am absolutely delighted that Frank has broken the record today, there is not another player that I respect and admire more. There's not a lot more I can say that hasn't been said already and I sincerely hope that Frank is with us again next season. However, if Frank moves on then he can go with his head held high and with my blessing, he has now done it all. Legend, an absolute legend.
May 11, 201313 yr Glad he got the record with 2 to spare despite that fat slug benching him Frank is a player that just gets better with playing time a fact his Fatness is seemingly oblivious to. A true Legend lets make it 250 goals please Roman sign him up !!
May 11, 201313 yr The perfect footballer. What an ambassador for the sport and what a role model for every aspiring footballer. Just awesome. If he isn't at least on the shortlist for BBC Sports Personality of the Year, it will be a total injustice.
May 11, 201313 yr What an incredible moment. The thing that was most striking about today was that it wasn't just a case of scoring when we were up 3-0. It was a stunner on the left to bring us level and then the winner 3 minutes from time to secure a spot in the Champions League. Not only the volume but the importance of his goals is what I shall remember him for. We'd be fools not to give him a new deal and even bigger fools not to play him against Benfica, because he is the player who when it matters stands up.
May 11, 201313 yr Ok, what is your Favorite Supa Frank Goal? My all-time favorite is @ Highbury during the 04 UCL quarters. CFC were supposed to be done after not scoring in the First leg & Reyes put le arse up right before the end of the first half. Maka hit that shot from like 25 yards & Madman Lehman couldn't handle it, Supa Frank was right there to put the ball into the back of the net. You know the rest of the story Boys & Girls. The Chels beat the so-called invincilbles ;)
May 11, 201313 yr I must admit I was a bit devastated that he broke the record today while I was at work, but my god what an important 2 goals they were! Securing our CL spot and Super Frankie breaking the record what a terrific day! Just gutted I missed the game!
May 12, 201313 yr When JT gave him the armband I thought "this is it". Couldn't see what he said to Frank but in my head it was "go break that record"
May 12, 201313 yr Cannot say more than what has been said already. Have seen some all time greats in my time of watching Chelsea. Zola, Drogba, Terry and Super Frankie Lampard. I feel very blessed to have seen those 203 goals. Sign him up!
May 12, 201313 yr Just signed up for SkySportsTV on my phone (£5 a month without a subscription) and managed to watch this game. Well worth it. Considering these goals only secured a CL place and a possible return of Jose, I cried like a baby. (52yo male big softy). Not many players have made the hair stand up on the back of my neck (Dixon, Gullit, Zola, Drogba), but Frank has done it on many occasions. True club legend. Even Manure fans were congratulating him on facebook yesterday.
May 12, 201313 yr I must admit I was a bit devastated that he broke the record today while I was at work, but my god what an important 2 goals they were! Securing our CL spot and Super Frankie breaking the record what a terrific day! Just gutted I missed the game! I was at work as well, so I couldn't watch the match, but I did manage to take a quick peek at half time and then had a long enough break so that I could watch the goals after the match. I first went to the full time whistle to see the result, then went backwards to see the goals. I wish I'd been able to watch the whole match.
May 12, 201313 yr Look at his movement for that goal - plays the ball wide to Hazard and then darts and weaves through three men (leaves Delph for dead) to be not only exactly in position to receive the return ball from Hazard but also certain that he was going to be the first to it. Absolute genius, not to mention the acceleration and agility he still displays even at his age - compare that to the movement of Torres: drifting sluggishly in no man's land (having just come on), lurking (sort of) at the far post playing no part in the attack whatsoever. You can't even say he's pulling away defenders with his running - Joe Bennett completely ignores him. Lampard has been a joy to behold, what a privilege it has been to have him on the team. It was even worth hearing 'Arry say the word 'opinion' that many times...
May 12, 201313 yr http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/5/12/4321722/two-hundred-and-three Fantastic article. Well worth the read.
May 12, 201313 yr Just seen the stat that, as well as beating Bobby Tambling's club goals record yesterday, he also passed his BT's league goals total: Frank Lampard (203 goals): Position: Midfield Years it took: 12 (2001-2013) Appearances: 606 Goals per game: 0.33 League goals for the club: 165 Bobby Tambling (202 goals): Position: Striker Years it took: 11 (1959-1970) Appearances: 370 Goals per game: 0.55 League goals for the club: 164
May 12, 201313 yr Quality video of him breaking the record: Here's one of the comments : If Lampard's contract isn't renewed WE f**kING RIOT?
