This is ridiculous. Surely this wouldn't be fair on other clubs, i am sure Liverpool would have done something similar if this was allowed.

I don't understand this...If the Club have put in a request outside the Transfer window to get Drogba on loan, wouldn't you think the Board knew Robbie had a problem in the striker department and could have given him the option if it was in the unlikely event possible?

No they sack him and blame him for the lack of chances taken.

Unfortunately that's not quite right. Drogba has requested that Fifa would allow him to loan to another team before the 1st January. There is no team for him as of yet, the Chelsea link is media fabricated.

And if I'm being honest the guy is a Chelsea legend. I'd hate him to come back and not live up to his reputation. At the moment he is the guy who's last kick if a ball for Chelsea won us the champions league. Lets leave it like that

Drogba is 34 and has been playing in a sub standard league since the summer, he is a hero, a legend but he is not the future.

Exactly, we don't want to be like Arsenal and look to get Thierry Henry on loan every time they realise they're a sh*t team.

I agree that we shouldn't live in the past, however if I understand it right it'll be a loan until January when Drogba goes off to ACN and we can get a striker in the transfer window which makes a bit of sense. Didier needs to stay in shape for the upcoming ACN and we are short on strikes, at least until January.

I totally agree. Before yesterday i could see this happening but now not so much.

We don't want to spend the money getting in a class striker. How better to appease the fans.

I was glad when didier left as he left have won the CL with his last touch of the football with Chelsea FCC I don't want him to ruin that memory.

Rightly so in my opinion. They can't bend the rules in favor of us, they have done the right thing.

Brilliant! I have been thinking of the same in the winter window ever since I heard of Drogba's issues in China. Would welcome him anyday :) But with Rafa's arrival doubt it...
