Benitez - whatever you want to say...

Featured Replies

As much as I DON'T want Rafa here, it was a little embarrassing to see those RAFA OUT signs.

It should have been much more about Robbie.

I hate to say it but he did a good job sorting out the defence in such a short time. Now to sort out our favorite misfiring striker nicknamed after a Portugese chicken restaurant...

I remember when Blackburn fans were out in force against Kean, that was uncomfortable viewing. I felt the same today. I am not going to chant his name but i am not going to boo it either.

I thought our fans were poor today. They showed a lack of class which is something they dont usualy do. I know that people hate Benitez, i am one of them, but the reality is that he is here now, and the spectacle of fans booing, waving vitriolic banners around doesnt help anybody, and only goes to show the club in a bad light.

Thoroughout the 1st half, the fans were more interested in chanting against Benitez than supporting the team, and we were outsung by Man Citys travelling crew. It improved a little in the second half, but overall i thought our fans put up a poor show today.

Why can't the fans say they don't like Rafa? Why?

He was a rival coach and said bad things about us leading a team that I probably hate the most. He is a big boy and understand's it.

I accept him as soon as he does things better than Robbie.

Completely disagree with the view that the fans are wrong. Here is a man who disrepected us and the club , he has made no effort to address this , to be honest it makes no difference to me if he did or not I don't want him here. But it might have appeased some.

No class , embarrassing , uncomfortable ? Yep that's him , not the fans.

I think they have every right to hate him or boo him, but it'd be better if it was done before and/or after the game.

Once the match is on, you should concentrate on supporting your team, no matter what you think of the manager.

Yeah when Silva was taking that corner and you saw that guy half heartedly show his "RAFA OUT" sign. Was pretty funny but arkward at the same time.

I concur I want the team to do well but I also want bennitez and that lady boy out of the club now. I thought Torres turned a leaf at the start of the season but it is time to call a spade a spade

Anyone who is ashamed of our fans over this, needs to have a long hard look at themselves! The man took the piss out of us as fans! He is a c**t and I cannot wait for him to leave!

From the MHL today...

We don't care about Rafa (clap clap)

He don't care about us (fat c**t!)

All we care about, is Chelsea FC

Repeat untill bored.....

I don't want benitez there any more than the next fan however the atmosphere at the game today was poor, he can't do anything with the team in 3 days, a draw was a good result, next week is the real test... to see what benitez changes!

I'm ashamed of our "fans"

Why? Racism is what I dont tolerate but as a one time thing this was what the club needed. The one man club decided to take as coach was Rafa Benitez. If I was asked who is the last man you want your team to be managed Rafa would have been top of my list. Seems like many fans feel the same way.

But like I've said a million times before this is good for the team. As the players publically start to back Benitez it will make the team more a team. Rafa can be the thing the players fight for sort of.

The thing that most people don't get is that a lot of us dont care if Rafa sh*ts gold.

This has nothing to do with his talent as a manager (don't think that much of it) and everything to do with him being a complete c*nt to this club and it's fans and wanting him to just f**k of. even if we win the league I will still want him gone.... and his pile of salt on a hil

Petr Cech said when asked if the players were in shock to hear the fans shouting to Rafa: "Well you can't change the history." Pretty much sums up the whole thing.

I'm all for the team. If Rafa makes us play well and justifies his position over Robbie he's done his job.

As a Rangers fan, I'm fully aware of the frustration of seeing genuine club legends replaced by unwelcome interlopers that don't have the clubs best interests at heart.

I was surprised and is pointed to see Roberto treated so shabbily after his achievements for Chelsea.

Just want you to know that we bears up at Ibrox hope you come through the current period of change and uncertainty. It will take more than a Benitez to undermine you.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Mate without bitching about my hatred for the bloke and just a genuine question put to you as I do usually understand a lot of your points,

What would FSW have to do to justify his position over Robbie?

Would it include making us a bit better defensively, playing to a different set of rules to Robbie had to play to? not so good going forward?

Would it include getting some new players in? something that would have undoubtably helped Robbie

Would it possibly include playing Sturridge instead of Torres? something that would have cost Robbie his job sooner

Would it include winning the CL and FA Cup as interim Manager?

Just wondering mate and this is not meant as a dig, theres not many here I'd bother asking.

That's pretty much the way to look at it.

I too was uneasy about the signs, and think we should just get on with it now even if we don't like it.

The point was made today and for me thats where i draw the line.I don't want the team to be affected by the disquiet and so hope we the fans can now channel the frustrations into supporting the xI players on the pitch.

Onto the next game and hopefully 3 much needed points.

No one is happy with Rafa here, but now he is here, kicking out him won't do the club any good. He's on a short contract, if it doesn't work out he will go. I got a funny feeling he will get the results, but playing poor football.
