The Sun bribed police for dirt on JT's mother

Turns out The Sun had to resort to bribing police officers in order to drag Terry's mother and step mum's name through the mud (and attack JT by proxy). Sleazeball journalism by the criminals at Murdoch's paper. Of course the press complaints commission deemed this as acceptable behaviour.

This news story has been buried but I think it's deserving of kicking up a storm. It's completely unacceptable to resort to such low tactics in order to vilify someone who had never been in the public eye nor sought to be in it.

Well this sounds like it's in direct violation of the Bribery Act, which is a particularly stern piece of legislation.  I can't believe they can just walk away from bribing the Police of all people.  I hope the Sun is the next victim of a witch hunt.  I certainly wont miss them.

This is laughably corrupt behaviour. In a society like the UK, why is the Sun allowed to get away with it?

Luckily, only idiots from certain places take the Sun seriously these days. Even Liverpool supporters know better.

Sit paper, don't buy it. It is one of the few things I side with Liverpool fans on, Don't Buy The Sun.

If by that you mean it's what you put down for your dog, then you have found the most appropriate use for it!   :happy001:

I fear though that it has the largest circulation of all newspapers in the UK - which is a sad reflection upon the taste of the majority!

Indeed, BlueBeard, and that they should be punished appropriately  i.e. sacked, fined, imprisoned.  Whatever is done to the Sun journalists should be done in trumps to the police who aided and abetted them.  They are the people who are appointed to uphold the law, and their punishment should  reflect how far short they have fallen of their duties.

This comes as no surprise to me and I am sure its not a one off.

There is no absolutely no moral limit in depth to how far these scumbags will go to make a quick buck.

And yet they have the cheek to portray JT as the c*nt.

You only have to look at the "attention" given to John Terry for allegedly having an affair with an ex-team mate's ex-girlfriend to that given to Ryan Giggs for undeniably having a long standing affair his brother's wife to realise that little things like morality, integrity and truth have absolutely nothing to do with the way that the Sun operate, along with the majority of the rest of the stinking rags that pass for newspapers in this day and age.

Let's not forget that Rooney has cheated on his wife with a prostitute whilst she was pregnant.

So not only did he cheat on her, he paid someone for the privilege..... But JT parked in a disabled bay 15 years ago or whenever it was so needs to be burned at the steak.

Below is just a little snippet about Tony Adams easily available on the web...One can only imagine if this was John Terry..Papers like the Sun (and the others are not much better) loathe John Terry, I've mentioned before the scandal of what the NOTW did to his Father, and the judges remarks at the court case.."One of the worst case's of entrapment he's ever seen" Any Chelsea fan who buys these papers has no business complaining about the press, we are all part of the problem if we continue to buy their squalid little rags...

Despite this success, a battle with alcoholism, which started in the mid-1980s, increasingly blighted his life as he was reportedly often involved in fights in nightclubs. On 6 May 1990, Adams crashed his Ford Sierra into a wall near his house in Southend-on-Sea, and when breathalysed his blood alcohol level was found to be more than 27 times the legal drink-drive limit. On 19 December that year, at Southend Crown Court,[4] he was imprisoned for four months (being freed after half of his sentence on 15 February 1991) but after being released, his alcoholism continued and he was involved in further alcohol-related incidents, including playing through a match during the 1993–94 season despite being drunk, falling down stairs and needing 29 stitches to a head wound when drunk, and letting off fire extinguishers and firing a flare gun into a disabled lavatory with team-mate Ray Parlour at Pizza Hut in Hornchurch, Essex where they were being taunted by supporters of rival clubs.

Jack Wilshere current media darling...just keeping it out there, maybe we should start a thread on all the players at other clubs who get in trouble with the law, but don't have it mentioned everytime they so much as break wind in public.

TWO clubbers who protected a girl after she was attacked in a fight involving Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere were today cleared of affray.

Bradley Martin, 23, and Elliot Fowler, 24, were found not guilty after a jury heard Wilshere had started the brawl.

The England football ace was called a “spineless coward†after he started the row outside Amika nightclub which ended with a broken elbow for Kim Plested.

The £50,000 a week player was accused of instigating the violence after he tried to chat up Kim boasting: “Come with me, I’ve got more money."

Wilshere, 19, was also said to have led pals in a celebratory jig as Kim lay injured.

Yesterday, Anthony Wyatt, defending one of Kim’s friends on affray charges, said: “Jack Wilshere is the leader in all of this.â€

ch

He accused Wilshere of trying to start a fight, making a homophobic jibe and then grabbing the smallest of Kim’s male pals.

Mr Wyatt said: “You may think this speaks volumes about the spineless coward behind this bravadoâ€.

Wilshere was later cautioned.

Two of his friends had earlier admitted affray and ABH.

Martin, 23, and Fowler, 24, of Farnham, Surrey, made no comment after the verdict at Isleworth Crown Court.mpu

Kim, who fell and broke her arm during the scuffle, was celebrating her 21st birthday at west London club Amika and her friends had dressed in pink as part of the celebration.

The court heard that Wilshere was in a group, one of whose members asked “Is it the p*** brigade?†and made comments about the revellers' outfits.

CCTV footage showed Wilshere grabbing Kim’s friend Ben Tritton by the lapels of his jacket.

Kim's boyfriend Dan Farnon, 23, also received a cut to his eye during the ugly clash.

Wilshere and his friends were out celebrating after Arsenal beat Blackburn in a Premier League match.

Wilshere did not attend the trial.

Totally inexcusable if true though, absolutely hideous act, although not far from what you would expect from these testosterone-addled cretins you get in nightclubs. Do you think they spray those cesspits with pheromones before each night?

If the football media weren't equally scummy we could actually judge this with some sort of confidence as opposed to the usual doubt and disbelief which sets in after reading virtually any 'football journalism'.
