August 2, 20169 yr What a prick Oscar is, I can't believe he was a key part of a title-winning side who played some of the best football in the history of this club, what a f**king twat. And to think he hasn't hit his full potential at the age of 24, he should be sold to f**king QPR. Is this a huge in-joke I've missed somehow? Or have we chosen this thread as the training for some sort of 'The Shed End blooper reel'? He played A part Plokks but I think calling it a KEY part is stretching it. Come on, you know a guy's time must be up when folk are even stating they would keep Mikel over Oscar!!
August 2, 20169 yr Oscar was good for a few months of our title winning side and I do think it's time to love him on but some people on here calling him a f**king twat etc are been ludicrous. Sure he's not been consistent enough but what has he done to receive so much hatred?
August 2, 20169 yr To be honest it's like 1 or 2 posters at most calling him names, the vast majority have not went down that route. You are always going to get a few roasters coming on here going way overboard making us look bad but thankfully most of us stay well clear of abusing our own. Edited August 2, 20169 yr by Chelsbear

A lot of potential but hes never lived lived up to it, its time to move on. I think the critiscim is warranted, but not any abuse of course, (though im not really seeing much of that bar a couple of twatty posts). He never got back into my good books after clearly giving up at the end of the 2014 season ahead of the World Cup, when you know, we were bloody close to winning the League! Someone like Chalobah would offer just the same if not more. And he would cost us nothing too. Time to try something new in that area. If we get a £30 million bid then we should jump at it, we'd be fools not too. But we are fools so who knows, he will prob get a new contract. Edited August 2, 20169 yr by bjd

True, I just don't get why they seem to be taking that approach? I said myself I want Oscar to go but I don't think he's a f**king twat or anything lol

August 2, 20169 yr The way Costa has been acting I'd maybe understand why some people would be a bit angry with him but sure Oscar is pretty quiet well behaved. I think he is at his limit and I don't think its good enough for us.

Not even 2, literally 1 poster called him names. Dooo the mathematiiiics!!
August 2, 20169 yr Oscar's tackling is actually very average. Its infact, just his OTT sliding tackles which make it seem that he is a great tackler.
August 2, 20169 yr we are asking for €35 million from inter for oscar. fair price imo. http://www.football-italia.net/88627/inter-oscar-would-cost-%E2%82%AC35m Edited August 2, 20169 yr by enigma
August 2, 20169 yr I've changed the size of the IF for you as Oscar coming good is a very big IF! You could be right but up to now I like what I've seen from Kenedy and would at least like to see him get some game time over others who have had their chance and now need to be moved on. I like what i see at left back, on the wing however his lack of close control and average decision making is a massive hindrance, the one good thing Jose did in last season's farce was open the Kenedy left back can of worms, at full back his weaknesses won't be too hinderous, it's why Dani Alves was an attacking fullback and not a winger. Ofcourse he has to pick up his defending a bit, but that's 100 times easier to pick up than improved decision making, and touch is either something you have or you don't.
August 2, 20169 yr Don't ever forget that we sold Mata for that little... diamond? hahahah He can't pass the ball, he can't dribble, always risky challenges cuz he is always late.3/4 of the time he was the worst player on the pitch. I have never been so frustrated about Chelsea player, really. Even Bosingwa wasn't that bad. 1. No improvement 2. Sold potential legend to give him chance 3. Still doesn't speak english 4. The worst player for the most of the time 5. Got no charisma 6. Got no character The title should be changed. Little piece of s**t. This is what he is. He can only shoot well. Nothing more. Just because Jose was wrong about Oscar doesn't also mean he was wrong about Mata, De Bruyne was the one who should have stayed in all of this. Mata has no off the ball nous, zero pace (literally zero), and is embarrassingly weak for a professional footballer, let alone top flight. Unless he has got the ball with space to work his magic it was like we were down to ten men. He was a good guy who helped light up a not so great period for the club (Munich aside), but £37m for him is arguably the best bit of business we have ever done.

Kenedy is certainly one to watch and needs more game time. He is only 20 and for the few times he played last season he showed some amazing skill and control - turned a number of defenders inside out. Like all of our promising youngsters though, he won't improve if he doesn't play.

Like all of our promising youngsters though, he won't improve if he doesn't play. That was the same thing said about Oscar in 2012, "he's only 20", the thing is, Oscar didn't stand out then, he was actually just as bad then as he is now, the difference being he was young then so people thought he'd improve with time, where-as now he's coming up 25 that excuse has well and truly ran its course, the "he's young" line is more applicable for players with massive talent who aren't quite their tactically or in terms of confidence (for example De Bruyne when we had him), poor touch is something rarely reversed later on, and neither is piss poor decision making, Walcott, Lennon and SWP were suppose to improve on that as they got older and if anything got worse. Same will happen with Kenedy as a left winger, if that's the route we are going down with him i guarantee 5 years from now his thread would look every bit as nasty as Oscar's currently does.

You may well be right but it is a bit of a sweeping generalization. All players are different and will progress at different rates. Some look like world-beaters at 17/18 only to go backwards and down the leagues. Others keep improving and learn from their mistakes. I wouldn't say Kenedy's touch is poor - ability wise he looks one of the most skillful in the entire squad and at 20 he still has a lot to learn. I remember the argument for Oscar was that he had played too much football and needed a rest. Maybe that was the case but he has gone backwards whereas a player like Kenedy is not getting anything like enough game time. We'll have to wait and see and I hope he doesn't become yet another player who failed to fulfill their potential.

Unless he has got the ball with space to work his magic it was like we were down to ten men. I can easily replace Mata with another player currently on our roster and infact the 1st team. Also, defensively in a more vital position.
August 3, 20169 yr I`ll be honest, I`m gutted it hasnt worked out, he`s just always impressed me to a point that got my hopes up he was genuinely going to be world class for us. He is an incredibly intelligent player, always finding space, superb first touch but unfortunately it ends there usually. Ive a feeling he will flourish in less combative leagues, Serie A or La Liga for example.

Strange that defending is such an easy trait to learn yet Baba, who has been a defender longer, still couldn't do it. The same for Luiz, Van Aanholt, Papy and so many more we've had in our ranks. Everyone improves decision making in football, it is something that comes with age. As for the apparent average close control, not every player has to have Hazard-like control to be a winger. Bale and Hulk also have fairly average close control, they seem to have made an alright career for themselves.

August 3, 20169 yr Ah, that takes me back to the Hulk thread. Happy (and wasted) days. Its not a proper transfer window unless Chelsea are linked with Hulk!

Who were the ones who nominated him for the best player of the season twice? GHOSTS!Lol if Oscar was as sh*t as Mata was no one will want him to leave at his current age.
August 3, 20169 yr Jim White (sky sports) has tweeted about Oscar. 'Looks to be heading out' while we pursue lukaku. Would imagine that's pretty solid info. Just a case of who wants to stump up the cash. I think anything on or near what we paid for him would be sufficient.
August 3, 20169 yr Thing you have to remember about Jim White is. Jim White is a rubber faced, yellow tie wearing c**t.
