Best individual performance of the 2012/13 season?

Featured Replies

Does it have to be for the majority of the match? If not, then Lampard vs Villa. Two goals that sums up a huge part of his game. One from just on the edge of the box and the second one when he passed the ball to Hazard then made his signature run into the box for the tap in.

Is there a Shed End Player of the Year award this year? If not I don't mind going through the old MOTM threads.

Well Torres won it last year and he  doubled his tally this season so I can only see there being one winner- it's not really fair on the others

Hazard away against United in the FA Cup, came on when we were 2-0 down and ripped them to shreds, is the one that stands out the most in my memory.

I would suggest that more important although less immediately obvious in that game was Mikel when he came on. We controlled the ball so much more and just wouldn't let Man Utd out of their half, he'd just clean up the ball and move it on. Although Hazard was definitely more eye catching. Not that I'm saying Mikel is a candidate for this, it's just I think he was more important to that turnaround.

Either that, or the introduction of Hazard forced them to double up on marking him which significantly contributed to United being pinned back in their half.

Although I do agree that Mikel on for SFL contributed to the turn around, I think Hazard was the main catalyst.

Lampard v Villa for me. We were losing and down to 10 men but Super Frank knocked in two goals to not only win us the game but also to break the all time goal scoring record for our club. You cant ask for more than that!
