Would be a great pick up for Chelsea and wouldn't get in the way of Chalobah if he keeps developing as predicted.

De Rossi in, striker in and Torres out=Premier League title.

Do we not have enough enough midfield players already... Would prefer possibly one forward and that's it. We're gonna have to be getting rid of a couple of guys soon or we'll have an extremely bloated squad in a couple of positions.

I can't see the Dutch lad signing if we were bringing in a top class midfielder which would make his task nigh on impossible.

I like De Rossi but we need a striker.

No top holding player though

If we sell Mikel, I'd love this deal to happen. If reports turn out to be true, it'd pretty much be a wash in terms of money in/money out...and De Rossi would be a significant piece of a potentially title winning team.

Getting De Rossi stops us from getting a CF? thats news to me.None of those players you mentioned is a top defensive midfielder which is exactly what De Rossi is and is exactly what we need.Mikel may be getting sold,Romeu and Chalobah are most likely going out on loan,Essien i think will be backup RB, and its unknown yet whether Oscar or KDB will play deeper.So that leaves us with say Ramires,Lampard,Van Ginkel and De Rossi and maybe Oscar or KDB. Looks healthy to me.

Jose needs to sell to buy, if De Rossi comes in it will no doubt be as a replacement for Mikel.

 

Romeu is reportedly off on loan as well, so we'll be fine depth wise.

I take it you didn't watch the confederations cup?  De Rossi is still a fantastic player and a massive improvement on Mikel, I think he's just fed up with being at Roma.

It can't be the di rossi who was outstanding for italy the last few weeks.

He's clearly talking about his season at Roma where he was dropped, brought back in when Zeman was sacked and didn't really improve the team. But beside that, all good players always have down time in their careers. For the most part De Rossi is still right up there as one of the best in his position.

If the rumours are true about Mikel then that will free up a spot for him. Even if Mikel didn't leave i would still get De Rossi, we haven't had a great DM since Makelele.

I think Mikel, romeu and maybe even Ramires will be gone this summer. Mikel and Romeu (on loan) for sure.

Great CM DeRossi. Yaya Toure level.

Essien squad player or right back, Romeu probably out for loan, Ramires and VanGinkel are the only like-for-like to DeRossi. DeBruyne will be used in the wing I think and Lampard will be used sparingly.

De Rossi would be the type of signing we are in for the title.
