October 29, 201411 yr He is a confidence player. Looks a bag of nerves at the moment Mourinho subbing him off in his two only two starts can't help as well Or Mourinho coming out after the game and saying the fringe players failed to impress.
October 29, 201411 yr Or Mourinho coming out after the game and saying the fringe players failed to impress. Jose criticised Hazard after the Atletico game and he responded perfectly. I think Jose used this sometimes as a 'sink or swim' moment.
October 29, 201411 yr Jose criticised Hazard after the Atletico game and he responded perfectly. I think Jose used this sometimes as a 'sink or swim' moment. Well Hazard responded by swimming smoothly to the deep ocean
October 29, 201411 yr Ah okay, woooosh went over my head. Generation gap, Salah's too young and Giggs is too old for him to be labelled Egyptian Giggs.... But yes I've seen Salah referred to as the "Egyptian Messi", anyone making that comparison is clearly.... (wait for it) In de-Nile Haha. That's some good wordplay there!
October 29, 201411 yr Tried to stick up for him a few months ago, but have to say he reminds me of swp...just seems to be crushed by pressure and demands of playing for a big club...looks like the kind of player that would be happier being big fish, if that's possible in his case, in a small pond...should have gone to Liverpool
October 29, 201411 yr I like Salah but can't see what he offers that Atsu wouldn't. Especially in his current form. (I appreciate that Atsu isn't exactly flying at Everton)
October 29, 201411 yr There's a reason why he doesn't get much game time, he's not done anything to warrant it. Jose stuck with Schurrle even though he's not that impressed with his defensive duties because he still contributes goals and fantastic movement.
October 29, 201411 yr I like Salah but can't see what he offers that Atsu wouldn't. Especially in his current form. (I appreciate that Atsu isn't exactly flying at Everton) Atsu is even worse.
October 29, 201411 yr Should look to sell him or loan him in January and give his place to Boga. Boga rips Salah to shreds on ability. The gulf in class between Hazard and the rest of our attacking mids is quite big.
October 29, 201411 yr Never wanted him in the first place, thought we should have recalled piazon or thorgan to add depth after we lost mata. Both wouldn't have been cup tied either. Just looks like a pace merchant. For the amount of minutes get will get this season, we may as well sell him or loan him out, and use baker or boga.
October 29, 201411 yr Pathetic citeh fans boo their team off at the final whistle...thoroughly deserved win for Newcastle...wonder how that sackpardew.com website is going now?!
October 30, 201411 yr Imagine the Egytian outrage if we sell Salah. They spammed our social media accounts for months with happiness after he was signed. They'll never forgive us.
October 30, 201411 yr Imagine the Egytian outrage if we sell Salah. They spammed our social media accounts for months with happiness after he was signed. They'll never forgive us. Who cares what they think! The club is bigger than any individual!
October 30, 201411 yr Imagine the Egytian outrage if we sell Salah. They spammed our social media accounts for months with happiness after he was signed. They'll never forgive us.Well, I'm Egyptian and I'd like Salah to leave Chelsea because simply Chelsea doesn't need him, he is a great player but this is not the right place for him. Anyway, I think judging him based on the 10 minutes he play every month is nonsense.
October 30, 201411 yr I genuinely believe that given game time he could develop in to a real threat for us. Problem is we are now in trying to hard territory, he feels he has to do something a bit special to get a chance where as andre has been pretty average this season but keeps getting the chances. I'd like to see Salah get some time with Fab as well because his speed would be more of a weapon with the ball being released quickly from center mid
October 30, 201411 yr My opinion on him- He's a speed merchant. A roadrunner. As someone said here, pairing him up with a visionary player like Fàbregas might get him to prosper. Could as well be as good as Theo Walcott was for Arsenal if he works on his final third product. But I don't see it all happening anytime soon as José rarely uses him. If we're selling him, we might as well do at season end and NOT on the winter transfer window. As he can leave with a potential 3-4 winner medals. Would be good for him to have them.
October 30, 201411 yr I don't like him. I think he doesn't have a class for Chelsea. 1) he can not pass the ball 2) he can not shoot well(i am very soft here) 3) his first touch is... unbelievable.. 4) he doesn't have a confidence. I can imagine how he will cry when he makes some mistake

It was his choice to come to Chelsea and he must have know that he was never going to be selected ahead of Hazard as he isn't in the same class, so he was always going to be battling for a place with the likes of Willian and Scurrle. I do feel a bit sorry for him in that his chances have been very limited but that's what happens at big clubs and you have to grab your chances as they come along and unfortunately for Salah, he hasn't.

He didn't win the Swiss Golden Player Award for best player in the Swiss Super League 2013 for no reason, he was great at Basel, but certainly not good at Chelsea. I think he should be loaned to Everton or a club that needs him next January. Edited October 30, 201411 yr by Mohamed Shedeed
October 30, 201411 yr He didn't win the Swiss Golden Player Award for best player in the Swiss Super League 2013 for no reason, he was great at Basel, but certainly not good at Chelsea. I think he should be loaned to Everton or a club that needs him next January. Yeah, that sure is some high ranking award. So he is in company with other great players such as Mladen Petric and Almen Abdi

I think he should be loaned to Everton or a club that needs him next January. Doesn't take a superstar to win the best player in the Swiss League.
October 30, 201411 yr Salah might be a great player in the Swiss league but you need to be a very good player to get noticed in the BPL. Kris Boyd was scoring for fun at Rangers in Scotland getting 30-35 goals a season then moved to the Championship and couldn't score for toffee. Another piss poor league where average players tend to stand out more. There is no denying that Salah has talent and potential but he is nowhere near a 'great' player other than in a mickey mouse league.
October 30, 201411 yr I dunno why people are going over him. He has hardly played any games this season? I think 2 or maybe 3? Not even a full game. What you'd expect of him? I think if he'll get a proper run in he'll get better and better. He's just 22 and his raw pace and dribbling is quite good. He has the ability to run past defender, with Cesc's vision I think he can be beneficial for us in long run in. But yeah he's too raw at the moment we should have probably loaned him instead of Moses this season.... which would have benefited us by having 1 more homegrown player. We should try to loan him in January and let's see what he can do when he gets a proper run in. Rather than judging him by 1 match. I think he can be a good player for us just needs to improve his finishing and passing.
