January 29, 201511 yr No he hasn't...he's been playing exactly like someone lacking any semblance of form, fitness or confidence. Too bad - I thought he had the pace and mentality to do well in the PL but seemingly not the decision-making or composure required. At Basel he seemed decent if not outstanding technically but his touches have become sloppier than I recall them being initially. I wanted him to do well (as I do all Chelsea players), but a move would be best for all concerned.
January 31, 201511 yr Ben Haim, Delhorno. Boulah was pretty poor, too. Imo, this move came too early for Salah. He has talent and potential but lacks the mental side more than anything... composure, mental toughness and tactical awareness Mourinho would like. Saw glimpses last season which suggested he could kick on this campeign, but it hasn't worked out. I actually feel he showed good movement, some good link up play as well as a few moments of good pace and skill.

January 31, 201511 yr Moving to Chelsea can make you or break you...with Salah and to a lesser degree Schurrle, it has been a case of the latter...the high demands and pressure involved can be too much for some to handle
January 31, 201511 yr Haim and Boulahrouz are probably both worse signings than Salah. Ben Haim was a real WTF signing if I ever saw one. At least I could see why Jose liked Salah even though he turned out to be below standard.
January 31, 201511 yr to be fair, that season, Jose had his hands tied somewhat if I recall. Wasn't that when all the class A eggs and supermarket talk was started by him. What was it, Ben Haim, Pizarro and Ballack who came in that season?

What was it, Ben Haim, Pizarro and Ballack who came in that season? Ballack was the season before. It was Ben Haim, Sidwell, Pizarro, Alex, Belletti, Malouda and the best of the lot, Ivanovic, although, Ivanovic didn't actually play that season. Edited January 31, 201511 yr by Scott Harris
January 31, 201511 yr I saw a lot of promise in him last season. In the Summer I expected him to go out on loan so he could play regularly and become better but he didn't unfortunately, which I think was a mistake. People might contest this point but I would have kept Bamford and loaned out Salah somewhere
January 31, 201511 yr Hmmmm... thanks for the clarification. Guess Malouda was the only one from that bunch who cost a significant amount.
January 31, 201511 yr Hmmmm... thanks for the clarification. Guess Malouda was the only one from that bunch who cost a significant amount. Yeah, £13 million for Malouda. I forgot that we got Anelka in January for £15 million. I wish players cost this much now, it's crazy how much the transfer market has inflated in only 7 years.
February 1, 201511 yr I bet if we'd actually bothered to put in competent performances against Basel in the CL so his contributions weren't as noticeable he'd be a Liverpool player now.
February 1, 201511 yr Egyptian fans love him on Youtube, they are very deluded though from some of the comments i see. One even made a video of Salah VS Hazard, difficult one that.
February 2, 201511 yr Today will hopefully be the last day that this septic tank will ever represent Chelsea FC. Woeful. A disgrace. Kalou 2.0. Bugger off.

February 2, 201511 yr Brilliant, get that useless leper out of my club. He is the footballing equivalent of the house wine at the local kebab house.

February 2, 201511 yr Think you are probably a WUM and have no problem telling you i have reported ya... pretty disgusting posts for a newbi. Hope your not one for sticking around He's useless. He failed completely. When he was on the pitch he never looked like trying. Even when he played against lower league opposition he looked out of his depth. He was always sulking. He refused to shake hands with Israeli players - that is a disgrace. Reporting me for being damning of a crap player is silly. I'm calling a spade, a spade. Perhaps you don't like people to criticise others, but sometimes the harshest of criticisms is necessary. There is nothing remotely redeemable about this guy's ability or character.
