MUST WIN GAME!

Could just leave it at that really but when you look at our remaining league games this, and Liverpool, are the only ones that would fall in the "difficult" category. And in all honestly ladies and gentleman, we can make no excuses for our side if we do not win the other 6 games.

To bounce back from Villa we have to beat Arsenal, WE HAVE TO BEAT ARSENAL!

No Ramires or Willian, just how will Jose line us up?

I will guess at:

Cech

Brana

Cahill

JT

Azpi

Matic

Luiz

Schurrle

Oscar

Hazard

Eto'o

I agree with the above lineup with one exception - Lampard. Desperately needing a little bit of his leadership and presence. Maybe a time for him to step in and show why he has been class for so long.

Can see Lamps coming in for Schurrle or Oscar, Jose going for more of a 4-3-3 given his options maybe.

Absolutely must win.

Having our record broken by Wenger would probably cause riots outside the Bridge.

If Arsenal beat Liverpool tomorrow and then we beat them at the Bridge we've mitigated the damage from the Villa game.

Well we can hope for United to beat Liverpool tomorrow and Spurs to beat Arsenal but I do not see Arsenal beating Liverpool tomorrow.

With Ramires and Willian suspended the team pretty much picks itself, other than the striker.

Hopefully it will be Eto'o but I suppose that will depend on how much he plays midweek.

If Luiz isn't fit I don't know if he'll go with Lamps or Mikel with Matic.

Arsenal are currently beating Spurs at HT.

I can see it coming down to Liverpool and City for the title and us against Arsenal for 3rd place. Maybe a glass half empty look but is how I am feeling.

So if we can beat Arsenal next week then we will be in a good position in that battle. If not it looks like early CL qualifiers for us next season.

Wow....one result against villa and we're saying this??? What if we win our remaining games and city slip up??? They have some tough away fixtures. We're still top of the table.

Our resident Arsenal fan called it on another thread. Winner of this game remains in the title race, loser takes a huge blow. If it is a draw, bye bye to both sides chances.

na the title race will be between them, us and city.

Arsenal are so hot and cold this season. They really aren't anything to be worried about. I honestly don't fear any of the top teams this season, as I know how well we play against the big teams. We were facing 12 men against Villa; I can't see it being like that again for the rest of the season. I think we'll beat Arsenal quite convincingly and bring them back down to earth again.

Jose is banned from being pitch side for the Arsenal fixture as things currently stand. This concerns me big time. How can one ref be allowed too impact a title race like this? We need Jose's leadership on the touchline for this fixture. I'd go with Zetas lineup with Lamps. Oscar is having a real dip in form at the moment and can't be relied on for such an important crunch match at the moment.

Counting out Liverpool? Why they have the easiest run in?

Was a reference to our old friend redandwhite3, arsenal don't have a hope in hell of the title.

We've lost Ramires and Willian at the worst possible time as they would be ideal for taking on Arsenal. Both have boundless energy and both are the most athletic player in the squad for their positions, which are ideal for pressing a team whose philosophy revolves around keeping the ball. Thankfully(?) Arsenal have been more pragmatic this season, and we shouldn't expect them to purely try and pass us off the park, particularly in an away game to a title rival. We could try the same approach as we did against City, but we might struggle without our two suspended dynamos.

Schurrle is the obvious replacement for Willian, but replacing Ramires is a little more confusing and I have mixed feelings about it. My first instinct would be to start Mikel at DM, who has an excellent record against Arsenal, and use Matic in a slightly more unrestrained role, however I would imagine the majority of Chelsea fans would disagree and would start Luiz (assuming he is fit). Alternatively we could start three in the middle and bring in Lampard, who has a pretty good record in big games himself. Following the weekend's debacle we need a serious performance here, if we are up for it we are more than capable of pulling off a famous win. If we are as insipid as we were against Villa then we are in big trouble.
