If we are going to pay 50 million for Costa then I would rather spend the 50 million on Cavani instead.

 

Cavani for me is still much more proven and would be a better player for us all round. Costa looked pretty good last season, this season he has looked very impressive but he is still a gamble. I'm also not sure he would play well for us, to me he seems like a player who prefers to run onto the ball, that's not something we offer a lot at Chelsea. That was also the same issue with Torres, at Liverpool he had Alonso and Gerrard constantly putting the ball a few yards in front of him as he was running off of defenders, at Chelsea we couldn't provide that for him and to be honest we still can't.

 

And before a Torres argument starts I think Torres is sh*t and a huge waste of time so I don't want to get into that, I was just making a point.

1. Hes a complete striker who can play one-twos, beat defenders, good in the air

 

2. We offer plenty of balls into space, its just that our strikers either get outmuscled or outpaced
