Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

It would help if he controlled the ball when they do pick him out with a pass.

Looks like he needs a decent rest.

Costa looking lost out there and getting replaced with Torres. God, we need a better back up because if I start seeing that for Chelsea next season I might have a stroke!

I hope its just a case of not being fit, but he looks f**king hopeless on the big stage.

No ball skill, average touch and slow in just about every way.

I've said it elsewhere but for £30 odd million I want more than good runs, he's had 2 chances at goal & they were both sh*t!

You can blame fitness, but I'm still not seeing anything to convince me that he's the goal scorer that we need.

He needs a Summer rest, he's rushed back before he was ready after his recent injury problems just needs a break and a good pre season

That sounds horribly familiar ......

Starting to worry. Never was convinced because of his antics but now he seems to have forgotten how to play. Doesn't look any better than Torres to be honest.

He's been right sh*t

As Xfactor said in the world cup thread regarding his fitness

"Its not based done hope. Looking at him for Atletico this season he looks clearly off and I highly doubt hes ift base din the hamstring issues hes had. He looks a lot slower and less explosive. The man needs a rest badly. I realt struggle to see hos annonse van think he looks tempelet fit "

People seem to forget he only just recovered from a recurring hamstring problem for this tournament

The last thing we need is a player who was good before an injury, but now looks half the player!

We've got 1 of those!

Lets just wait and see shall we, a summer rest and a pre-season may sort out any issues. Oh and the best manager on the world ;)

But why gamble £32m on that?

He looks utter drivel though, remember the last time we bought a striker who had a injury plighted tournament?

Would't touch a player with a recurring hammy but you are right with the fitness angle. On the flip side Fat Ronaldo played 2 different World Cups unfit and still made an impact, Vidal has played most of the game unfit also and has been outstanding in the middle. My fear is we end up signing someone who fits the system Atletico plays but anywhere else looks like a duck out of water (Wiki has him at "Zero" goals for both Brazil & Spain in 6 games).

Yeah Costa is clearly still injured, Ill trust Mourinho and pur medical staff to decide of hes somrene web should purchase. With Spain being out it will probably be confirmed soon either way

I think he'll suit us tbh and you can never rate a player on international stage. Look at Lampard he hasn't done it at a tournament for England yet he's been immense for us its a different kettle of fish altogether.

he looks really f**king slow.. thats my major concern. I thought he was meant to have good pace but i saw NONE of it against us in the CL and less of it here in the world cup. his touch is alarmingly sh*te too. im completely unconvinced that this guy is the answer and if we are spaffing 32m lets pay the extra and go for a benzema or a balotelli.

worried about this bloke.

So hard to judge a player when a team are playing as poorly as Spain did.

If Biscuits could actually finish the he'd have come away with an assist tonight.

Seems like a player that makes things happen, I think hell improve us and I'm look forward to seeing him at Chelsea next season.
