Charly Musonda jr.

Kenedy isn't starting despite Pedro's indifferent form and Hazard's injury.

Not sure what throwing another youngster into the mix achieves?

My guess is Traore is off on loan this month.

There is a rumour (via twitter) that Charly Musonda is heading off to Real Betis via loan w/out an option to buy.

Seems legit. Could be in spain by the end of the week

Unsure about this one tbh. It's going to be hard for him to shine in such a poor side imo. He will no doubt improve with games, but I can't see him putting himself in the picture for a first team chance playing for Betis.

Courtois got himself ahead of cech by proving himself at the highest level for a quality side, christiensen is doing similar things with gladbach.

Even if musonda is Betis's best player, I think there will be more chance of him needing to prove himself at a higher level to get a chance here.

I think he shouldve gotten a 6 month loan to try and establish himself as a good option for a team pushing for Europe next season.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but when is the last time we have courted a player that is playing at the wrong end of the Spanish league? So unless Betis turn it around next season and are pushing for Europe with musonda starring, I very much doubt he will be given a shot here.

Just curious if you peeps even follow La Liga. Betis isn't a side getting beatdown by 10 to Real Madrid. In fact their position is about the same as CFC is in the table. If the kid can make a name for himself there, I say job well done. The fact is that CFC still won't give him a chance regardless how he does. Take a look at Bamford. Wasn't he voted the Championship player of the year last season? Where is he now? Not even get a look at by CFC. This club loan situation is totally out of control & is a mess.

Betis are a newly promoted side, whose main objective is survival. We may both be sitting in 14th in our respective tables but that is where the similarities end.

I think he would have more of a chance at getting a chance if he madr a name for himself at better side. He is one of the most highly regarded players in Europe for his age, I 5 ink a more aggressive loan would've been better especially considering the length of the loan.

Bamford is not good enough to play at Chelsea, he was nailed to the bench on his last loan.

I disagree - he could do the same job or even better than Falcao - sometimes we have to give our Youth a chance to flourish

Loan deal done but no option to buy it seems.

Good news really.

Chelsea will closely monitor Musonda for the rest of this season before deciding whether or not to allow him to stay on loan at Betis next season or bring him back to England to be part of the first-team squad. The Spanish club do not have an option to buy him.

And there goes their incentive to play him if they aren't in relegation trouble

We're damned if we do and damned if we don't!
