February 7, 201610 yr Chelsea Youth @chelseayouth 50m50 minutes ago Charly Musonda STARTS for Real Betis vs Valencia live on Sky this afternoon. #CFC #loanwatch
February 7, 201610 yr good apparently. i think he got gaya sent off (not deliberately) and had a part to play in betis goal. they beat valencia 1-0.
February 7, 201610 yr Destroyed Gaya who I rate highly, probably the MOTM. Begs the question; why wasn't he ever given a look in by Jose?
February 7, 201610 yr can ask that question until the cows come home. first game at the top level and already looking like a stand out
February 7, 201610 yr Destroyed Gaya who I rate highly, probably the MOTM. Begs the question; why wasn't he ever given a look in by Jose? Not tall enough, too young, no scathing photos of Jose, take your pick
February 7, 201610 yr Delighted that he played and by all accounts had a blinder. Kids like him are what we should be planning our future around and hopefully he can impress enough to be given a shot next season. We need the hope that young players like him provide at this moment.

February 7, 201610 yr Then Betis attacked and made no mistake. Castro began the move in the final third and a flick by Charly Musonda helped it on to Van Wolfswinkel, whose low cross bypassed Aymen Abdennour and Castro swooped to tap in. http://www.skysports.com/football/real-betis-vs-valencia/347795
February 7, 201610 yr Completed 90 minutes in his debut, not bad. Got a feeling it's going to be a successful loan.
February 7, 201610 yr Destroyed Gaya who I rate highly, probably the MOTM. Begs the question; why wasn't he ever given a look in by Jose? Didn't get a look-in from Guus, who ignores Ruben most of the time, either
February 8, 201610 yr Completed 90 minutes in his debut, not bad. Got a feeling it's going to be a successful loan. A successful loan in Chelsea's terms is that at the end of it we get offered £5m for him. [emoji57]
February 13, 201610 yr Musonda first ever senior goal today in what is his second league game for Betis.Playing on the left but with plenty of freedom to roam Musonda looks like one of the better players on the pitch, and is looking very suited to this level of football. The goal came from a header after a wonderfully timed late run into the box Edited February 13, 201610 yr by PedroMendez

February 14, 201610 yr Delighted for the young lad and in a season of sh*t, to see him get his first senior goal on the same day Traore gets his first Premier League goal bodes extremely well for the future. A quiet summer with an emphasis on the youth next season fills me with tremendous excitement.

February 14, 201610 yr A quiet summer with emphasis on youth is what we were doing last summer I'm going to disagree and say the last minute panic bids give an impression that the board just grossly over estimated this squads ability to compete for back to back titles. There has been no emphasis to play youth and as I've stated many times, Roman has forced managers to play players they didn't really want to.... so it's very telling that his has never done this with a youth player. This summer might be different as the gap between what the Sr players offer and what the Jr players offer has never been so dissapointingly small under Roman.

To me, underestimating the squad indicates they thought our young players would be enough in the way of strengthening. I think the intention was there to have a quiet summer and lean more on youth rather than making transfer noise. I also think the lack of time given to academy/young players was one of the reasons Roman sacked Jose.
