December 18, 20169 yr I hope he is back for first team action.....out of all the kids over the last few years , this is the only one who looks good enough......hope his injury is a just a red herring as this kid is class.
January 13, 20179 yr Quote "Charly is a good prospect," Conte said at a press conference at Cobham Training Centre. "Musonda has the quality to become a great player. And for this reason, I think can be a good opportunity for him, but also for me, for the club. "To work for five months with him. If he shows me this month he deserves to play, he'll go into the team. I see in this player good prospects. I want to work with this player. I see that this player is the present, but above all the future of this club.” Quotes from Conte today on Musonda - sounds promising... Edited January 13, 20179 yr by Batshuayi

May 4, 20179 yr odd how he hasn't even featured on the bench this season. i would like to see him play in our first team. if we can win next 3 games, it would be nice to play a few youth players in the last match including charly.
May 4, 20179 yr Personally no I don't think he's ready, at Betis he showed in flashes what he's capable of but ultimately was dropped because of his lack of end product. I think he should go back out on loan, somewhere that will give him a platform to enjoy his football, showcase his talent and help him improve his stats. Anderlecht would be a good destination for him imho. Just hope he doesn't go somewhere only to be a squad player. Edited May 4, 20179 yr by the special one
May 5, 20179 yr Wouldn't say he's ready 100% but I certainly don't think he would be detrimental to the team. It's worth the gamble.
June 8, 20179 yr Reported by DH (?) Conte told him he wants to keep him for next season. All for it. Im on the Musonda train
June 9, 20179 yr Wouldn't have called that to be honest. We had no indication this past season that Conte would trust him. But he's talented for sure. I want to see him given some chances to prove himself.

June 9, 20179 yr Just now, Zeta said: Musonda has done nothing so far, i dont think he's anywhere near ready for a big squad role. I'd argue Musonda showed his quality at Betis and has enough to playing the role of impact sub (which Willian currently offers). Depends what formation Conte wants to play next year, if he goes for two strikers i can't see the need for both Pedro and Willian.

Think what you like about Willian as I do agree, he is flawed and Pedro is the better player. But he works very hard and offers something different off the bench. Selling him and replacing him with a raw talent like Musonda who except for a half season at Betis and a few skill compilations hasn't achieved anything yet would be dangerous. I say yet in italics as I really do hope and think Musonda has it all but far to soon to pin our hopes on him.
June 30, 20179 yr I think the odd thing would be is if we sign Adama Traore..... Musonda in my opinion has showed a lot more quality than him and fits into the squad better. Traore reminds me of Sturridge .. quality but selfish
June 30, 20179 yr Musonda is approaching RLC territory. I thought Conte brought him back to familiarize him with the system in hopes of him playing this season. Lets hope he doesn't rot on the bench.
June 30, 20179 yr Probably my knee jerk reaction after selling Ake highly doubt he will get a chance to sign. Probably sold in the next few coming seasons.
July 2, 20179 yr Daily Mail and Express reporting this morning that Celtic are 'close to completing a deal for Musonda'. Edited July 2, 20179 yr by the special one
July 2, 20179 yr hopefully he stays and we use him... he's class, and so much better than Adama Traore who we have been linked too.
July 2, 20179 yr I dont believe for one second Chelsea are selling him. The only way Celtic are getting him would be on loan.
