It had nothing to do with his footballing ability and everything to do with him being unable to play in a team with Courtois after the while girlfriend incident. Be that at the wish of him or Courtois is open for debate but either way someone had to go. I can't see him coming back for this reason.

He did play in the EPL....

a grand total of 3 appearances...? (with only one being a start, I believe). Not enough to judge anything about his ability really.

Funny thing is I don't believe that rumor is true. I don't believe KDB hooked up with Tebo's girlfriend or other way around. It would be so freaking childish not to play in the same team because one of the player have sex with ex gf which I don't believe happened.

I think we are not the sun so we shouldn't even bother.

Supposedly his buyout clause after signing a new contract is around €60m, which is about £43.5m. I know he did great last season bit what about his current form? Is he worth anywhere near that kind of money and where can we potentially use him? I'd love to hear from those, who regularly watch Atletico and know the player well enough.

 

I've said for a while that I would rather have the club go for him while everyone has eyes for Pogba. Pogba is the Toure to Koke's Iniesta. Everything is more subtle. Hugely intelligent player with great technical ability and most of all - superb work rate. Atletico use him on the flank, which is similar to they way De Bruyne and Mata were once deployed before coming to Chelsea. In fact, Iniesta was used in a similar position on the left flank for Barca for many years. It won't work over here and under Jose. For Spain he has played centrally and has looked a boss whenever I've seen him.

He impresses me when i watch, and i do watch most of AMs games...

Where would he play? DM or AM? Or???

I'd be surprised if it wasn't true as KDB wrote about it in his autobiography and Tibo has mentioned it in an interview. For what I gather KDB shared a flat or lived close to Tibo. KDB was a bit of a douche and never gave his GF much attention and was a bit of a player. Tibo was nice to her and used to cook her dinner and treated her nicely. She ditched KDB for Tibo and the relationship between the two player deteriorated from there. KDB had a bee in his bonnet because he was the one cuckolded yet Tibo came out looking like the good guy. The frostiness between the two never thawed and one had to go.

Now bear in mind I've pieced this story together from articles and supposed quotes so is likely to have a few inaccuracies so take from it what you will. I think it makes sense though because KDB showed nothing but talent for us while he was here but yet rarely featured.

In today's market, yes I would say so.

Still a huge gamble paying that sort if money for any player though.

If he can provide anything at all then that would be an improvement on Oscar at the moment.

Koke can play on left or in the middle can't he?

I'd imagine he'd be used more deeper than Oscar.

Another textbook Mou player but to be honest I think any coach would love a player like Koke. Seems to be quite the versaitile work horse player with above average vision and technical ability.

He's definitely a very good player and is somewhat an upgrade on Oscar.... but seriously why would we spend 44m pounds for a player who does not provide any significant improvement on Oscar. Unless we sell Oscar there is no way we should even think about getting him.

 

I'd rather spend 16m more and get Pogba for 60m and pair him with Matic and Cesc/Oscar at #10. It would improve our team significantly.

Koke would be a world class signing. Excels in all positions in midfield, would be arguably our second best player behind hazard.

Why wouldn't we want an upgrade on Oscar? I'd love to upgrade every position we possibly can if we can stay within FFP. I don't know, if Koke is an upgrade on our Brazilian attacking midfielder but if he is and we can sell Oscar for something like 35m which is quite doable, than add 10m to his fee and get someone better, why not?

44m seems high and also there is no way in hell we will get 35m for Oscar. PSG can throw some ridilicus amounts of money but I still think they wouldn't pay 35m for Oscar.

He can play anywhere in Midfield so would be a top signing, still very young and can learn a lot from Fabregas.

Only should think about getting him if we sell a huge chunk of players we currently have out on loan right now and some other fringe players
