So tomorrow the World Cup begins and I thought it would be appropriate to begin a thread which is dedicated to following our players through the tournament.

Tomorrow (Thursday) begins with Brazil vs Croatia. Players involved for Chelsea - Oscar & Willian.

I'll try to continue this thread as each day/fixture goes on which involves our boys in Blue!

He's got something like 7 goals in his last 8 appearances for them... So I would like to think he's going to be getting game time.

Well Reus injury means he has a better chance plus he seems to always do well for Germany and he's better than Podolski.

Azpi apparently been training with Casillas, Ramos, Pique and Alba so probably will be starting for Spain :)

At 60 mins I said 2 things to my mrs, by 70 mins it'll be 2-1 and the final score will be 3-1. The other thing was that Brazils only stand out players were oscar and neymar. Oh yeah I also said, that'd be worth a shout, when at half time that 5-1 for neymar next goal came up. My god I wish I chucked some money on that lot.

We then have holland vs Spain so that will include azpillicueta, Torres and Fabregas ( :-0 ) and the other game features none of out players.

That's the Oscar we where missing, I almost forgot how good he was. He took the game into his hands and shown that he can actually beat players and actually show he has end product. I'm still not convinced he's a true number 9 but he looked really effective on that right side, I hope he has a much better season next season.

Oscar played really well, we also got to see the defensive ability he gained this season with his defensive pressure and slide tackles. 

Gotta say Croatia were robbed though, I'm glad I didn't put a bet on them.

 

Also ex-Chelsea player but I think having Luiz as CB may be a reason Brazil won't win the World Cup, he's just not good enough at the back and more glad now that we sold him.

Didn't eto sign a 1 year contract? That normally expires beginning of june. Not chelsea
