Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

Yeah I'm saying if we go the next two years without winning the league and City win at least one in that time, they will be ahead of us reputation wise.

For a club our size we're sort of need to win the league soon.

Some irrational people may think I'm coming across as spoilt. Let me clarify- I can live without winning another trophy for the rest of my life- I've seen us win everything. But for where our board see our club we need a league soon. Man City are catching up to us reputation wise and fast.

League titles don't represent reputation fella, It's European titles unfortunately, and until we can stop messing about in the CL, Chelsea will be bigger than us, There's a reason why Liverpool fans keep shoving their European success' down peoples throat, Because like it or not it means something.

Aren't any terrestrial channels showing the charity shield?  I thought the BBC covered that?

Not anymore due to the BT take over. Joke.

I want Arsenal to win today's game, I want us to receive a proper early season wake up call, Arsenal to win 4-2 or 3-1, Let the media hype them up for winning this glorified friendly and let them question our title credentials and start spouting stuff like 'It's Chelsea's title to lose' or 'Arsenal fire early title warning shot, This squad has a different mentality than years gone by'. Whilst that happens we hopefully wrap up the signing of Mangala and Madrid do us a cut price deal for Isco, £17 million or in the range and we ship Javi Garcia off to Zenit for another £10 mill and stay within our FFP limits, Roberto is your uncle.

One last thing before i start preparing the food for the com shield, Dortmund must be added to the list of cringe worthy fans, They were holding up their scarves and singing along to YNWA with the Liverpool fans, Unbelievable. No doubt Brendan will mention that in his post match interview 'Well you know it was fantastic to see, Two sets of supporters singing together at a football match, Two huge football clubs showing respect, You cant ask for more', That sounds like something he would say, I had to use the word huge because of their obsession with size.

They'll claim it as another trophy, I don't want that.

Stay within the ffp limits?

I get that you're trying to be funny. But could you post the real names?

I don't folllow City like I do Chelsea so I don't really know who you mean.

Rodgers just said this apparently....

"We proved last season that we can handle the pressure of a title run-in."

Yes, yes you di.... Oh hang on.

The bald pornstar is Willy Caballero, I mean any fella who has watched any amount of porn will know who he looks like, The Barack Obama lookalike is Fernando, Porto fans used to give him that nickname and i can see the resemblance. The Lillian Thuram lookalike is Mangala, Obvious one, The fella with bad hair is Sagna, The Chelsea legend i think you all know who i'm talking about ;), The treatment rooms Lionel Messi is Jack Rodwell, The movie star lookalike is Javi Garcia, All the sl-ags i know who support City have a thing for him, and Manuels protege is Isco.

Fair enough if you think that. I think from a player's perspective though, if Chelsea get to a stage where we've won 1 league title in 10 years and Mourinho goes 3 years straight without the league, we will not be as an attractive proposition

I remember the days when he was Swansea manager, I used to love the guy and the way he spoke but now he just seems to have been corrupted with scousitis, and he seems to always over do it even more in the hope to impress the idiots. Remember when they beat us and there was that gif of Shankly looking down on Rodgers with him asking 'How am i doing boss?'.

That is probably the case, he is deliberately saying stupid things to impress them.

It will only backfire on him eventually, with great expectations can come great  disappointment, and the liverpool fans never learn.

You look on this forum no one is getting carried away, I think we are looking good so far but we know maybe a few things are needed before we start the season... Well maybe, depends.

funny that, its almost like you suddenly dont like him purely because he's the liverpool manager....

By bringing up last season you have paved the way for these:

When people get more exposure people start to not like them.

Personally I was never a fan of Rodgers. Not really a fan of the football philosophers; generally I find their approach and style to be very condescending.

Mick McCarthy is probably my favourite manager.

Arsenal score, deserver too, they are dominating the game.

They have the much better starting XI than City IMO, I'd be appalled if I was an Arsenal fan and didn't go onto win it now.
