My question is, in what world is a player like falcou going on loan

It's an expensive gamble but you never know, he could just start scoring goals. I suspect that United haven't finished yet and will chuck some more money at it. Maybe another effort at Hummels or someone.

 

It seems quite reminiscent of Leeds United's sh*t or bust escapades of a few years back. If they do fail to make the top four again - and that looks very possible already, they could be having a fire sale this time next year.

What is Uniteds best 11 going to be? Surely they will sign a commanding centre back. There doesn't look like there is method behind the madness.

You know what, I don't mind utd improving. I prefer utd over any of our other rivals tbh. They haven't got any player I dislike, and they're the most famous club in England, so I say go ahead and improve utd. I would love for man utd and us to be the two battling it out once again.

It's been an absolute catastrophic morning for us, I would have loved Falcao here but this has woken up the deluded United fans, I've just received 6/7 texts from rag friends and most of them are along the lines of 'We will crash the party between you and Chelsea at the top now', 'We finished 7th last season and can still attract Di Maria/Falcao where as Arsenal are in for Wilfried Bony'. I got one text which was just so deluded 'F- Aguero, F- Costa, We signed the best striker on the planet, Keep our trophy nice and shiny yh ;)'. 

 

At what stage do we take United seriously? Do they still need a CB and a midfielder? or could they use Liverpools philosophy of outscoring teams 4-2/5-3 and try to win the title that way?

Leicester is a good team, 2 points against team 3-5 from last year was more than acceptable. As long as they beat mid table teams like Man United they will be safe from the drop easily.

 

How quickly has Mata declined? He must be kicking himself for wanting out now.

I agree.  I think Leicester could do a Southampton and finish in the top half of the table.  They've already gone toe to toe with us, Everton and Arsenal - that's no mean feat.  Most would have expected 0 points from those opening games from a newly promoted team.  I like the way they play, very organised and efficient counter attacks.  If they had a half decent finisher they'd be set.  I have no idea how good their depth is, but they played us with two of their best midfielders out and just signed Cambiasso so I suspect they're fine.  I wish them well.  Prefer them in the league than the likes of QPR.
