I hope this teaches you what you already should have known, never even think about putting any trust into Liverpool.

Shame though, would've been a great weekend for you, better luck next time!

As soon as he came on at half time. I turned to my girlfriend and said "Gerrard's on, they're definitely going to lose now."

A minute later he's been sent off.

RAWK turning on Gerrard is actually making me feel a little sorry for him. What a bunch of c**ts.

Showing exactly what they are all about.

And they have the nuts to call us classless...

Carragher is sympathising with Gerrard and making excuses for him

No he isn't. He's explaining the circumstances. He's agreed it was a straight red.

Jamie Carragher is excusing capt Gerrards stamp, because he was frustrated at not starting.

Tbf he was giving reasons why it happened. . He also said it was inexcusable.

Man Utd fans staying on singing "now you're gonna believe us, now you're gonna believe us, now you're gonnaaaa beliieeeeve us...you've gone and farked it up!"

Mata was brilliant.

Absolutely love the guy.

A class act.

Can't understand any Chelsea fan having a problem with him.

Jose didn't want him from the get-go, he prefers more athletic players.

Mata is an artist, simple as that.

Showing exactly what they are all about.

And they have the nuts to call us classless...

Turning on each other now. Like chimps flinging sh*t at each other at the zoo, except with more polyester.

It's a straight red, there's no argument for that.

What about all the buildup to that, giving the captain blah bah emotion? You missed all that? You're just a media apologist mate

How about we give The FA a chance to do their job rather than moaning about them not doing before they've had a chance to?

I think it's more to do with the difference in media reaction between the 2 incidents.

What about all the buildup to that, giving the captain blah bah emotion? You missed all that? You're just a media apologist mate

Oh look, an analyst analysing the actions of a player.

NOTHING he said was wrong and he said it was a straight red. Some people need to get over this victim bollocks.

The media won't talk about it as much I can guarantee that, because the main focus will be on Stevie G.

Fair play to him for coming out and doing a post-match interview. Said it was a red and that he's let his teammates down. Don't like the guy but not every player would do that.

That's so unfair.

You are confusing 'excuses' with explaining the circumstances. Carragher is correct - ithe team were down, it's his last derby, and he was bound to be pumped up. That's not excusing it at all, it's just explaining why a footballer can be rash at times, in games.

Oh look, an analyst analysing the actions of a player.

NOTHING he said was wrong and he said it was a straight red. Some people need to get over this victim bollocks.

The softened the blow of that a lot compared to any other player. You need to get over defending the media every single time, because you do do that, every single time.

When we surrounded the ref I didn't see Carjacker giving the context to that, such as the fact they were kicking us off the park and the referee was doing nothing about it, plus the fact we have had absolutely nothing off referees all season.

Anyone watching it on Sky? Liverpool crimes at all?

not a bit of it, it's all "Stevie will know he's let the team down there" and "I'm sure he'll not be remembered for that stamp, it'll be all the wonderful goals and moments he's produced at Anfield that people will talk about"

have to agree with that - I still haven't stopped talking about his pass to Drogba and his slip to Demba

Gerrard about to be interviewed, so he's getting a chance to clear himself and give the media excuses about his "passion" and "trying to impact the game."  Nonsense, it was a deliberate stap and you could see him put his full weight into it
