Apparently we have bid £20 million for Miranda of atletico. Seems like an odd one to me, given that he's nearly 30 and we were reluctant to pay that much for luis who is only a year younger (and who we signed for an eventual £15.8 million).

Add to this the issue of foreign player quotas and it sounds like f**king jackanory to me.

Seems unlikely to me - I don't think we need another defender, especially a foreign one when we have more than our quota.  But what do I know?

Considering we are already overstock on foreign players I can't see us bringing anyone else in until players are sold. 

 

Zouma at the moment due to his age helps solve a problem by being able to be a back up player but not taking up one of the non homegrown slots in the squad. 

 

Who are we going to sell to allow another foreign player to come in because we're probably struggling to move on one as it is, let alone another. 

I just dont see this happening. Zouma has done very well so far and i personally think he would have impressed Jose.

Good player, no doubt, but with JT, Cahill, Ivan, Zouma and Christensen, we'll be fine.

Hopefully we don't sign another defender for that much. We should be spending that kind of money on another striker.

 

But this thread/rumor does make me wonder what the starting back four will be. What do you think everyone?

I think this is bull personally, really like Andre and think he's a perfect super sub.

No point, it's a position we are well stocked in with Cahill, Terry, Zouma, Ivan and even Christensen if needed.

If anything it will be a striker we go for.
