Draxler has barely played this season, don't think it would be possible.

I'd like to see lacazette come in to compete with costa.

Assuming bale, isco, pogba, koke, and rues aren't available, i'd stick with what we have attacking midfielder wise.

Maybe switch to a more traditional 433, and bring in someone like witsel to play with Matic and fabregas.

I think the key thing is whether Mourinho wants to keep going with trying to play a possesion game, or whether we will revert back to counter attack, which doesn't favour fabregas or hazard.

Outside of Hazard our attacking midfield is absolutely non-existent.  What we need is a legitimate right winger (which could possibly be Cuadrado), who isn't afraid to run at defenders and take shots when they have the opportunity (two things Willian doesn't and maybe cannot do).  If we aren't going to get Reus, and he goes to Real Madrid, I would love us to try and get whatever player leaves to make room for him (that is either Bale or Isco).  Outside of the names I mentioned, I honestly don't know of any young attacking midfielders that could possibly be bought this summer.  If anybody has any other names feel free to drop them

If we can get someone like Pogba or Koke (both will cost us a lot of money), we can afford to move Fabregas up to the #10 role, which I feel will suit him better.  At that point, Oscar can come off the bench if we'd like.

I mentioned Varane, because Cahill hasn't looked very good this year and Terry is getting up there in age.  If we could pair Varane with Zouma, we'd literally be set in central defense for the next decade.

Fabregas shouldn't be playing next to Matic. Put Fabregas at #10 with maybe Koke 30-40m or Gundogan 20-30m. I don't see a need for a right winger at this moment in time as Cuadrado deserves a season and then we can assess how effective he is in that role.  A centre-back is a purchase I feel we need as the youth products out on loan are hardly lighting up their respective leagues and JT is aging. What people don't understand is the reason we play so deep is in order to accommodate JT as his lack of pace means we can't play a high line as he will just get done for pace. Thta's why playing deeper allows him more time to position himself accordingly. But with the centre-backs playing deep it means the rest of them inevitably plays deeper reducing us to counter attacks which we seem to be awful at recently.

Ins =

Koke/Gundogan

Varane/Laporte

Hopeful, i can see koke or perhaps draxler coming in. None of the others though. I think koke would make a world of difference, that cm spot is a need, obviously fabregas is undroppable, but he would be better suited at number 10, oscars far too inconsistent to be a regular starter. Koke comes in and our weakness is fixed. Just cb then, but not a need this year, maybe the following summer.

Fabregas shouldn't be playing next to Matic. Put Fabregas at #10

You do know that when we got Fabregas it was because we wanted to put him next to Matic right ? Fabregas in the number 10 role just isn't effective. When he has been put there this season he hasn't done much. He has also said that his prefered position was the deeper role. Mourinho bought Fabregas to play next to Matic and i also think that is why Fabregas joined us, i'm not sure that we will be changing that anytime soon.

We desperately need some pace in our back line. It's hindering our football and forces the attacking players to remain cautious.

To be honest, the reason our attacking players are forced to be more cautious is because god***n Ivanovic thinks he is a fricken striker and bombs forward far too often.  How many times do we see him DRIBBLING near or inside the 18 yard box?  I could understand him going forward to create crossing attempts, like Azpilicueta and Filipe Luis do on the left side, but Ivanovic cannot cross the ball to save his life.

To be fair to him, his crossing has been much better this season. But I do agree with you to a certain extent.

Can't see rues, pogba, or koke moving clubs this season. Maybe have a chance at getting varane though. We currently have 4 attacking midfielders, whether we bring in another I'm not so sure, especially as remy, ramires, and fabregas can play there.

I think we need to develop a system that allows our best players to flourish regardless of opposition.

Maybe modric, witsel, vidal, or marchisio, in a midfield 3 with Matic and fabregas, would give us more control against he top teams.

I think we will struggle to play a complete pressing game because of jt's lack of pace, but zouma is really quick so maybe it's a partnership that can cover for jt's only flaw.

Competition for costa is also a must.

I saw on the mirror today (i know, i know, the mirror) that jose will be allowed a budget of 75 million in the summer. if this is true, then that certainly ends any hope of landing a big star, namely pogba or bale as well as a varane and someone else.

I think if we were to move for either of those players, we would have to sacrifice a player to afford it. That 75m figure doesn't really change anything. In all likelihood we will sell Moses, Marin, atsu, and possibly piazon, which I would think would raise bout 15m.

Personally I'd be happy with lacazette and witsel in, mikel and drogba out, and see us use ake and rlc more.

I like your targets, both players are good for us, especially Witsel as replacement for Mikel and Ramires.

well jose is apparently looking for another top striker, a midfielder and a defender.

Some expensive names been thrown around, to be honest I don't see Reus moving unless BvB get a mega offer. He has no release clause and seems loyal to the cause. Juve seem to be adamant that Pogba is a €100m but I can see Koke moving this summer. Varane?! Why wud RM sell?

Real do have a habit letting quality players leave.

That being said I can't see Varne moving unless they really want Cech.

They do but RM don't sell unless they find something they think they can buy that is much better like in James for Di Maria and Isco for Ozil. I haven't heard that RM are looking for new CBs and if they were someone like Pepe would most likely be in the chopping block. As for GK De Gea seems to be the main target if all the rumors have some truth to them.

How the f**k does daily mirror knows how much jose will be allowed to spend.. so early. Clearly B.S.

RM recently signed Lucas Silva (who from the youtube clips looks a top class DM in the making)... so perhaps it's highly probable Khedira will join in the summer after his contract expires - exactly the type of midfielder which we seem to desperately need (although I have some doubts as to whether he has the same authoritative presence he did 5/6 years ago).

Nonetheless if none of PSG's midfield trio, Witsel, or Pogba is available, i'd say there's a good chance Khedira will join.

Howedes would also be a good signing on a free - has the potential to be our 'new JT' (not that JT can ever be considered 'replaceable').

If Madrid do buy De Gea, do we sell Cech to United for a good price?

Their defense is so poor that I see it as good business tbh. Not to mention how poorly they've utilized a €45M player in Mata.

Gonna be controversial and say we should be looking at that little c**t Verratti horrible little sh*t but fantastic player absolutley controlled the game against us.
