Transfers Summer 2015

What we are going to expect: Gareth Bale.

What we are going to end up with: Douglas Costa.

This is all written over it.

That usually tends to happen when you expect the unrealistic.

Maybe its just that I have low expectations but I've been pleasantly surprised with the signings the club has managed to pull off over the last several windows.

Why the need for both Witsel and Schneiderlin?.

a) on current form lack of faith in Fabregas/Matic 'in the pivot'

b) allows Mou to rotate players in a 4-3-3 (dependant on opposition strength)

c) would also allow Mou to use 4-3-2-1 - (you'd like to think a midfield trio of Schneiderlein/Matic/Witsel will make the opposition think twice about playing through the middle, a defensive weakness of ours imo)

Wouldn't mind seeing Ramires go either, RLC can take his place.

why have we not been looking at this kid?! Can't believe the money we've wasted on that right side when we could have thrown money at palermo for this lad.

We have been linked with him, but unfortunately so has the rest of Europe! I like the look of him but £28.5m seems excessive.

Most recently is reports today saying he wants to stay in Italy and juventus are favourites.

He would be an exciting signing for sure. Lacazette would also be a top signing.

Not in today's market, unfortunately. 21 year old, big prospect, i think it's about going price these days.

I think it is for an uncapped 21 year old, that has never played in the champions league, and has never even played in a top league yet. This will the best 1st season in Europe he has hit double figures, despite playing in serie b last season.

I think 20m is a fair price, bearing in mind lukaku went for 28m last year, and he was a full international, that had a good scoring reconditioned in a top league.

I like the look of dybala, and also vietto, not sold that either are the real deal yet though.

Looking at people's IN and OUT lists, I think a lot of you have forgotten we even have players like Moses, Romeu, Van Ginkel, etc...

In:

Pogba

Reus

Varane

Bale

Messi

Schurrle

de Bruyne

Mata

Lukaku

Luiz

Bertrand

Salah

Alcantara

Sanchez

Pogba

Zambrotta

Seedorf

Fabregas

Henderson

Sterling

Giroud

Marquinhos

Gabriel Paulista

Cazorla

Sigurdsson

Out:

Cech

Ivanovic

Luis

Fabregas

Zouma

Ramires

Oscar

Drogba

Moses

Matic

Azpilicueta

Remy

Willian

Cahill

Cuadrado

If we do want a legitimate no.10, that Max Meyer looks like good little player. I doubt there will be any signings in that area though...

I like him too, but I doubt Jose would have him as he doesn't do much defensively. I think Cuadrado's progress (or lack of) in the final stage of the season will determine if we sign another AM.

If we wanted a no10 and willing to pay the money, I'd go for Christian Ericksen every time. Classy player, brilliant on set pieces, hardworking and fantastic vision that you would want from a playmaker; he should be at a top club.

Levy would ask 100m pounds from us. The Levy tax applies.

Probably would ask for 40 million. I dunno when his contract runs out. He is still young so I'd think about him seriously. Probably one of the top no10's out there. I think if spurs don't make 4th he could look at other options.

Really? Because of the money or just not liking him? He's better than Oscar.

Personally I don't think he is better than Oscar and I don't think he would particularly change or improve anything about the side, especially for whatever ridiculous price Spurs would want for him.

Oscar's the same age as him so if it's about buy a player who has the potential to grow what not just nurture the talent we already have?

If we're looking to sign another attacking player why not just go all in for a player like Bale, Pogba, Rues, Thomas Muller etc someone who would without a doubt elevate the team.

I wouldn't be opposed to Hazard moving into the centre next season to accommodate any new signing, Schurrle's best position was on the left but barely played there and could maybe of had a chance by moving Hazard into the middle where he would without doubt still be extremely effective.
