Transfers Summer 2015

I know people would like to see more rotation, but you dont buy players like Fabregas/Pogba/Veratti and have them sit out every other game.

These kinds of players demand wages upwards of 150k, if nothing else its a poor financial decision to bring them when you plan 20 or so starts for them per season.

I agree that it wouldn't make much sence if it was just 20 games, but I was thinking 4 quality players rotating 3 positions through a season (60+ games), wich adds up to 40+ games on each.

For me there are only two targets who would really add to what we have. Bale and Koke. I say Koke instead of Pogba because of Jose's positive view of RLC. I want more young English players in the squad and buying a big star to block out the best we have seems silly. Koke is more versatile and can play wherever he needs to. The Bale deal speaks for itself. In my view Oscar and Rami could both be sold on if both deals came off.

The possible other deals are replacements for Drogba as battering ram. Jose is a fan of Dzeko. I think Llorente is a shout for that spot also given he is on the outer at Juve. Not sure Bamford will return just yet. A PL loan (with Boro if they make it up) might be needed before he turns into Harry Kane. I couldn't see us keeping Remy in the long term if Bamford is seen as a player who could have an impact.

Anywho just my thoughts.

Juventus scouts were watching Oscar against France. Pogba for Oscar then?

And how much cash on top would we need to find ?

I would like to see us consider either John Stones or Nathaniel Clyne for a long term option at right back. Proven in the Premier League and homegrown.

Having Gary Cahill as the sole Chelsea representative for England the other day just made me think how there used to four or five in previous years. Like Clyne, would cost ac lot though. Wouldn't mind Walcott as well if he came on the cheap. Then with Bamford and one of Chalobah or Loftus-cheek to hopefully come through, it shouldn't be so bad.

Four or five Chelsea players in the England set-up, and then we said, Remember how excited we were when Wisey was called up as our only representative

I'm more interested in the amount of English players in the Chelsea team than the amount of Chelsea players in the England team which I couldn't give a monkeys about.

We should consider Alexandre Lacazette (23 years old, ST, CF, RW, LW), currently topscorer in France with 23 goals in 26 games and 5 assists. He reminds me of Suarez and Aguero, great linkup striker that scores alot of goals. With Drogba out of contract in the summer and Costas continued hamstering problem, then we need better backup options. The advantage with Lacazette is that he can play as a RW when Costa is playing, or alongside Costa when we are desperate for a goal. I believe the dynamic between a player like Lacazette and a target striker would be far better then throwing 2-3 target strikers on and hope for the best.

On PES I'm doing a Master League as Swansea and Chelsea have signed this lad. He always tears me to bits when I play Chelsea. Only a game I know but just thought worth mentioning.

Lacazette would be a great buy. I'm sure others will point to the fact the french league isn't as competitive as the prem, but he has all the tools to succeed here. I don't really see him and remy in the same squad though. Both too similar, and another sticking point could be the price, as the lyon president drives a hard bargain, would the probable 25m be too much for a player that may not make our strongest 11. He can play wide but he has really excelled through the middle in the last 18 months, so don't think he would be ahead of willian or cuadrado for the rw spot.

I think the best teams in France are not far behind our top teams, we learned that with PSG and Monaco in CL. I believe Lacazette would take Willians spot in a 4-3-3 formation though, where our wingers are further up the pitch with less defensive work, while our central midfield is stronger. I can also see him in Oscars role in 4-2-3-1, linking up with our target striker Costa, but I think we would need someone with better defensive workrate next to Matic then.

Those who watched Israel vs Belguim could see Nir Biton (Israel) as DM. He played excellent, won tackles and in my opinion he's great replacement for Mikel. He's only 23 and plays in Celtic.

He's crap.

Well i'm convinced.

Lacazette plays pretty advanced in the forward position--even further than Costa, I don't think he'd like playing deep and despite his pace, how well can he do against teams the defend in the box?
