That Burnley vs City result should be a massive motivator for the players.

Hopefully they feel free from pressure and go out on the pitch and express themselves like they did at the beginning of the season.

Could potentially be a good game tomorrow.

Not sure about anyone else but I feel that which ever team Jose picks, he and the players owe us a quality and clinical performance. Southampton are no mugs but a repeat by us of that pathetic performance of last Wednesday will get a suitable response from the crowd I'm sure. Drop the defensive bollocks and give us something to shout about, attack, attack attack attack attack, now put us 8 points clear with some style please.

let's go and win ourselves a title rather than hope the rest f*ck up and give it to us.

What a bit of fortune!

Tonight's game won't have as much pressure as a result. Still have that 5 point cushion, however, with Arse not far behind now, we cannot be complacent.

I'm sure our boys will relish the opportunity to do some damage and fight for a win.

Wow, if we do win with the game in hand...

Posted

need to keep one eye on the goons, they have hit form and we have to go to their place

Keep an eye on them - however if we win out our 2 games in hand, we're 12 point leaders in front of Le Arse.

We just to keep ourselves motivated and focused, and we should be having a party in May.

Win tomorrow 8 points clear w

1 game in hand

Win tomorrow and win the league imo cus if it is a home victory then......

City will need all the points left on the table &

CFC will need to drop 11 points

Pessimists on here = still got to play dippers scum utd gooners. City easier run in.

Optimists on here = no way team will drop 30% of points left on the table . City form worse than CFC

Stay positive. Chelsea shall prevail.

The thing is team looks very tired. Jose needs to rotate key players.

I would like to see Remy, Zuma, and Juan cuadrado.

Remy definetely needs more time on the pitch.

Well manuel pellegrini's p45 is on it's way, unless they do something miraculous in the EPL or the champion's league, which is highly unlikely.now this boy mourhino, what a lucky bugger to come back to the premiership that has been at it's worst for many a year.

Pellegini will be another manager that, nowadays, goes through the revolving door of 'money spent demands success by owners' if only it applied to players.

anyway,we are pretty much nailed on to win the league now in a poor league imo, however,we are playing such dire football it will be a bit hollow for me..'trophies mean everything' you say, whatever kind of football we play.not for for me I'm afraid.Roman has spent a fortune to to win trophies AND be entertained.

The thing is, sport in general bores me.money is god.just think, every player in the EPL are mostly multi- millionaires! seriously? with what product?

You have obviously forgot about us playing very entertaining football for the first 5 months of the season i see. It's only since the League cup semi final that we haven't been playing all that great. Before then our football was very entertaining. We have played better football this season longer than any of the other Premier League teams that's for sure. Hollow victory ? pfft, that just sounds spoilt to me.

And i have no idea what you are going on about in that bit i have highlighted in bold.

To put the title-talk aside we really struggled at their place at times and eventually drew. We need to play like we did against Spurs in the final. We need to start with Zouma because atm he is our most reliable defender. They will crowd out Cesc in the midfield so we need top game from Hazard as well.

I'm not liking Costa at the moment so I hope we start with Remy. Costa hasn't scored in a long time and he's been a bit of a c**t on the pitch.

No easy matches, as City found yesterday. PL has become a gladiator sport, which drains creative players. Ideally you need 11 racehorses and 11 carthorses. A win today will be a MAJOR achievement

What are peoples thoughts on Hazard playing the CAM role behind Costa with Willian & Cuadrado on the Wings? Fab & Matic behind them in the pivot?

I wouldn't mind seeing it, certainly something different and will surprise the opposition. Hazard behind costa; willian or oscar on left side and cuadrado on right. It likely won't happen, though, but would be refreshing to see anyhow.

People wanting Costa dropped at the first sign of a drop in form? We'd be nowhere this season if it wasn't for him.

Remember Torres

I just hated his performance against PSG. I know it is a major kneejerk but just don't want to see him start today.

I would love to see hazard play closer to Costa. He's so good at getting half a yard, I think he would score more goals. Can't see it happening though with a matic fabregas midfield, as i don't think Mourinho would play that open.

works 2 ways, if he plays centrally, he'll have less time and space on the ball but on the flipside he is going to be a better goal threat and will have access to both sides of the pitch for releases

one of the best things about him playing out wide is that he'll draw 2 players to mark him, a midfielder and a fullback almost every time, the fullback is important because it forces the back 4 to shuffle across the pitch to cover.

centrally he'll just have midfielders on the other team doubling up and kicking all day but if hes good enough,,,and we know he is...then it wont matter

it's definitely worth a try in any case and i know there are a big group of fans on here that have been pleading for him to be played centrally

This would quite easily just mould our team into a 4-4-2. I think if we dont buy anyone else in the summer it could be a better option for next season. Something like this would work.

---------------coutois

Ivan----terry----zouma----azpi

cuadrado---fab---matic---willian

---------------------hazard

---------------Costa

Surely a win today and we have a very firm hand on the title. Hoping and expecting a positive reaction to the PSG game. Would like to see Cuadrado given a start given some of the poor form of the others, not convinced by him yet but let's give him a chance and see. I also would like to see Remy get a decent run out, possibly playing off Costa.

Doubt there'll be major changes but I think Jose will at least freshen 1 position. A Win today and you'd also like to think some of the younger players might get some time iin the back end of the season.

Remy hasn't really had a proper chance for a while, and has a decent scoring record when he has played, I wouldn't mind seeing him start, we did go to extra time in midweek after all

Tbf our players were walking for about 60 minutes of the 120

We don't even need to win games, we just need to sit back and watch city capitulate and hand us the league ;-)

Oh yeah? Then don't be surprised when Arsenal get in front of us in the league. :]
