Why would you want a young goalkeeper with no Premier League, international or European experience ahead of a veteran, homegrown goalkeeper like Green?

What about Greens England hopes be out of running if a not playing games every week so would he come he is playing well at the moment

 

The further away from an international call up the better. Green has consistently buckled when put under the pressure of the spotlight. But for him being English he wouldn't even be worth a mention as a potential keeper for us.

Goalkeepers should not come into this 30yrs rule as the most of them play well into 35 r more its the heights of their career so Chec should get 4yr deal

 

He wants to be the first choice keeper and it seems like he's not going to be that at Chelsea anymore. He knows he's good enough to be first choice for a top club, so he's not going to sign a four year deal with us, even if we offered it to him. I'd be very surprised if Big Pete is still at Chelsea next season.

Pete will be gone, he could nail a starting spot at Real Madrid if he wishes. A long contract or not, if he asks to leave, he get to leave ( and we will respect that). Whoever we get, we will get nervous every time the guy steps in goal.

Bergovic is coming into the final year of his contract, I know we showed an interest in him previously. Especially as they have (former Chelsea target) Jack Butland in waiting.

 

He's way too good to be a back-up, and with Thibaut being so young, he knows he'll never have a chance, barring injury..

 

Maybe he can be tempted but he could be first-choice at a bigger club than Stoke I reckon.

 

Edit: He's better than what Liverpool and Arsenal have got currently.

I could see ManU going for him if Real Madrid buys De Gea.

I still don't understand that Jack Butland deal. Turned us down because he wouldn't play to go to Stoke and um not play.

He's made more saves than any other keeper in the pl and as chris Ramsey said, qpr had plenty of time to defend after greens miskick...it's not like he hit it straight at Fabregas to score was it? I still think he'd be a good number two...he'd be better than Schwarzer and I thought he did ok
