Shafted by Shambolic Sky

Featured Replies

Shame to hear. The stream I was watching (NBC I think) had excellent coverage. Interviews with Cech, Drogba, Fabregas, Terry and Jose and the lap of honour for about an hour after the game.

the only thing that was good about the coverage of our game was they put Gary Neville on as co-commentator. At least he talks sense, the rest of them talk drivel.

I was dreading Niall Quinn would be commentating.

I suppose if this is all I have to complain about life as a Chelsea fan then it isn't exactly bad.

Wish I had the stream you were watching Rich, will probably opt for that next time rather than fork out for Sky.

You have to question why they also have 3 ex Liverpool pundits dedicated to the ladt game of the season. They really do need to get pundits from other clubs.

The media's respect is the only thing Liverpool can win these days. They've taken over the media, like a bad infection and they continue to spread unfortunately.

Unreal . Sky Sports one put on Sports Direct FC V West Ham. Who the f**k cares about them? Sky you are all c**tS.

The issue isn't that they put that match on Sky Sports One, it's that the coverage wasn't done properly. With us been on a different channel they should have stayed with us whilst the celebrations continued instead of switching back to Newcastle and what happened there.

It is for me because that's the only one I pay for. I had to watch it on a stream.

Martin Tyler once again was awful. I'm tired of his monotone voice and little digs at us every so often. Gary Neville has been doing commentating for only a few years and he is more professional than a guy that has been doing the job for 40 years. I can't stand the guy, i have never understood how he got a reputation for being one of the best commentators. Bias, only get's excited over a handful of goals, monotone and boring..............and i wish they would replace him on FIFA games too

The difference this time certainly compared to 2010 was that our game was meaningless and had nothing riding on it, I understand it was shoved into Sky 1? Well fair play , I mean they weren't even obligated to show it at all. They aren't obligated to show our celebrations and other fans funnily enough aren't that bothered either, just like we weren't with Man City last year. Utd before etc

I was lucky enough to to be there today (and it was great!) And I can understand frustration if they didn't show enough but I'm sure there will be enough footage doing the rounds in the next 24 hours.

Sure SKY are twats most of the time but I don't think we can get too precious about this.

I walked into my parents' house about 5pm and the presentation and celebrations were being shown live (I think). Not sure what channel it was on, but they don't have Sky or anything like that so I'm assuming it was BBC1.

Only thing I can say is they did a full style celebration after we beat Palace and the Sky cameras did stick then with us to be fair.

I'm just annoyed that with them having three games on different channels why they had to cut away from the coverage of our celebrations? They didn't need to go to the pundits at all. They could have kept it on the pitch with Tyler doing the voice over stuff and Neville doing the interviews.

As I mentioned on the match day thread the celebrations inside the ground concentrated mainly at the Matthew Harding end...Got home hoping to see more on Sky should have known better...

The coverage in 2010 was so much better. WTF happened.

Probably because in 2010 we still had to get something out of the game, I've no complaints with today's coverage and can understand why most of the coverage was focused on the other two games, something to play for and all that. Sky had announced about a month ago that all our remaining games would be shown live, but the viewing figures for our game, which let's be fair was only of any real interest to us and the Mackems, would have been very poor if served up as the main event.

There's a site called time4tv has got all the Sky Sports and Racing Uk which is about a score a month on Sky. A pal text me about Garth Crooks says he coudn't hide his disdain about us and our style of football.

I always wondered why us, liverpool and man utd have our own channels, yet we never show any of our games live. I understand it doesn't make financial sense for sky to give up the rights for the above 3 teams to be shown on their respective channels, but wouldn't it be simpler? I would like for the games of ours that sky sports don't broadcast, to be shown on chelsea tv. I am sure our fans wouldn't mind paying the extra fee for chelsea tv in return for a handful of live games.

Pretty simple isn't it?

Taking exclusivity away from Sky and BT.
