Seems a bit presumptuous to me that the extensive rebuilding would be see the pitch stay in the exact same location it currently is. 

 

I think that the article is speculative rather than an alternative. 

 
 
By the sounds of the various reports coming out if Chelsea have in fact found a way of building (and get approval) a 60k stadium on the current site it could be quite a unique bit of architcture in the way we accomplish it. 
 
Is it possible that one of the stands would actually be built over the railway lines to maximise use of space or something like that? 

 

 

I suggested a few months ago that the solution could be to dig down, to lower the foundations of the stadium in order to then expand upwards rather than sideways. I'm only speculating but this would seem like the most logical thing to do, there's no way we can expand sideways from what I can tell. I think the Bernabeu is built in a similar way, with their lower tier below ground level.

It's sounding more and more likely that something like that is the solution because I just don't see how else you fit a 60k stadium on the limited space available. 

 

What I'm hoping is that because they're going to have to use a trick or two to get the desired capacity it might lead to a more unique looking stadium. 

We could just build around the railway line and have the trains running across the pitch. Preferably in front of our goal.

 

Then we can park the train instead.

If we lower the pitch and gain space over railway lines, then it would look more feasible.

It doesn't say on the paperwork. Can't see anything on the Chelsea website either. I'm a ST holder. Are you a member or ST holder? Hopefully it will go to ST holders and members. Only right to get as many comments as possible. I'll ask a couple of people I know who are members if they've received a copy. Will post once I've heard back from them.

I have never heard it mentioned before that the new station staircases were developed to link to a new pedestrian walkway over the railway cutting to the stadium?

They kept that quiet, did anyone else know this?

Two ST holders replied and have received the paperwork but the members haven't received anything. Could be the club are sending out to ST holders first and then to members. Hope that is that case. Will be annoying if only ST holders are approached,

I didn't get an email either to my work address or to my personal one. Strange. Will check my work email tomorrow just in case it hasn't been put in the junkmail. Am also a CPO holder as well. Haven't heard from CPO either. As you say, would have thought as CPO holders would receive something.

Yeah i thought it was strange how there's no quotes from CPO or any mention of us CPO getting copies?

I'm sure we will though.

Received a copy today. It mentions about building a walkway over the railway to link the stadium to the station. Will go along to one of the consultations after work.

If we play at Wembley, does anyone think we'll sell out 50,000 for every game?

 

A good option would be if Chelsea offered season tickets to members & guarantee them a season ticket in a re-built Stamford Bridge, i'm not sure how feasible that would be but i think it'd help us sell out 50,000 every game.
