£500 million plan for new Stamford Bridge

Featured Replies

I don't like how it looks from the outside but I love the vintage drawing style. Exciting times ahead, shame Roman is bored of us innit blud?

This is the first time I'm starting to believe that this could happen and it might just be something other than a lifeless bowl in the same vien that all other new stadium are.

Will I start to believe that Abramovic really loves this club?  I might just do that if this comes off.

I can't work out if it looks like a ghastly post war, brutalist concrete council block, or a stunningly different piece of footballing architecture...

Getting it past the local yuppies will be a challenge, fingers crossed !

Whatever your views on the design, it will certainly be a unique stadium if we get it approved.

I'm going to get carried away at this point, I'm just as excited now as when Brian Mears unveiled plans in the early seventies.

It looks fantastic, classy, befits the area and something to be proud of.

Just the legacy I hoped Abramovich would deliver.

Let's hope so.

The club needs this and it means we get to stay at home so it's a huge bonus to the support and club.

I'm glad it's not just a soulless dome like the Emirates, you can make it as big as you like but when it has no originality and the atmosphere is next to nothing it's rather pointless.

This looks like it would stand out in world football as one of the most iconic arenas in the world, a befitting arena for our great club as it grows and grows.

I agree not totally convinced on all the brick work or maybe the pictures are not doing it justice ...

Would like to see more on the predicted views and seat space from the 3 tiers ..................

.................and where is the safe standing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mckeenen knows his stuff.

"Given the club tradition and character, I expect something extremely british and classy. I don't think that they'll go for a super-modern bulbous exterior."

Got to say fitting a new 60,000 seater stadium on that site is genius. Never believed it was possible or that I'd ever see that horrible hotel and apartment block go...but wow!
