February 6, 201610 yr Utd and their fans backtracking quicker than david Cameron....turned their nose up at him for some reason, all this crap about Utd being above him/better than that-it was Liverpool esque... now they realise he's their best hope... I wouldn't say United fans are backtracking. There is still a lot of apprehension about appointing him considering his tendencies to cause controversy and to limit the opportunities of young players. It is nowhere near as black and white as you're making it. However, no one thinks that United is above Mourinho - he is one of the top two managers in the world. I'm pretty sure most United fans would agree with that. I, personally, would take him in a heart beat and he would have been my choice as successor to Fergie. He will always be a Chelsea icon for me though, regardless of whether he managed another team. Similarly, Pep will always be Barcelona to me, regardless of his stints at Bayern and City. Considering how he left Chelsea this season, you can understand that some United fans wouldn't be 100% on Mourinho. Edited February 6, 201610 yr by Brixtac

As long as you back the guy in the transfer market and give him the tools to do the job then he should be fine. Our mistake was hiring him when we were trying to be something else and then not putting our hands in our pockets. If you hire him you're saying you want to win right now, and he'll give you the best chance of doing that. Edited February 6, 201610 yr by ShedEnder91
February 6, 201610 yr Best wishes to you too Spud, Spurs are enjoyable to watch. We've had a bit of role reversal. Thanks Droogers. It is an odd season. I wonder if this unpredictability will continue into next season?
February 6, 201610 yr Thanks Droogers. It is an odd season. I wonder if this unpredictability will continue into next season? It depends if Spurs build on this success but Pocchetino has already said the stadium will restrict what they can do. Next year you'll probably have City and United firing on all cylinders too which means this season is probably you're best shot. I'll get stick for saying this but seeing Spurs achieve that with the way they've gone about their business would make the purist inside me smile. You've basically built exactly what Roman wanted to build here in 2011 on a fraction of the budget. You might see 'one of you' lift the title on the day we let the last 'one of us' leave. That's a sickening thought.
February 6, 201610 yr Nauseating: Football Focus showing in slo-mo how Gerrard puts the captain's armband on Henderson's arm. Shudder.
February 6, 201610 yr Imagine if Leicester needed a point against us to win the title on the last day and we beat them. We would solidify our status as the most hated side in the league. Not only that, but if Arsenal crept in and won it. Hell, I would take a loss just to see Claude self destruct. Didn't Leicester cost us or severely hindered our chances of winning the league back in the late 90s. Would be perfect karma but I'd rather see them win it obviously.

February 6, 201610 yr Don't lots of city fans look like empty seats I don't know if you meant that literally because it's actually true. I couldn't believe how many empty seats were dotted all over the place, but while there definitely are some empty seats, pausing the BT coverage and staring at it closely, a lot of City fans do actually look like empty seats. I think it's the sky blue clothing and those clear poncho things they're wearing.

February 6, 201610 yr Bloody hell. They're actually going to win the league, aren't they? C'mon Leicester! I believe!
February 6, 201610 yr Leicester' defence is really getting tested but they look dangerous on the counter. The difference is their players are giving it their all. Hope they can win this and hold on. Its going to be difficult though.
February 6, 201610 yr Leicester's upcoming games. After Arsenal, they should win most of those. Thanks for that info. That's a very, very good run in for them.
