February 5, 201610 yr See how they like a half empty stadium. City have been doing this for months and it just hasn't worked.
February 5, 201610 yr Imagine if Leicester needed a point against us to win the title on the last day and we beat them. We would solidify our status as the most hated side in the league. Not only that, but if Arsenal crept in and won it. Hell, I would take a loss just to see Claude self destruct. Reminds me of when we played Bolton at home on the last day of season 97-98. We won 2-0. If Bolton had equalised or won they would have avoided relegation and Everton would be relegated. With the score at 1-0 to us, Chelsea fans were cheering on Bolton for an equaliser. Jody Morris scored late on to make it 2-0 and that meant Bolton were relegated and Everton stayed in the PL. I think it's one of the few times when I've heard us booing when we've scored. Bizarre.
February 5, 201610 yr Terry would have to sit the game out, for me he's more important than who (other than us) wins the league. That said if the contract extension is offered and agreed before then I can imagine Chelsea fans chanting for Leicester which would be fine as a one off.
February 5, 201610 yr Man citeh are apparently moaning that our cup tie is scheduled to take place on a Sunday, a few days before their champions league game...well tough sh*t, no one has batted an eyelid when we have been screwed on many occasions by domestic to scheduling before euro games...I seem to remember Chelsea's claims being sneered at by all and sundry too... Also city tried to get the game moved to a Friday night, just three days after our PSG match...fcuk off
February 5, 201610 yr We played on a sunday when we had a midweek semi final against bloody barcelona and no one gave a sh*t then why must we care now.

Imagine if Arsenal needed the win, their match had finished and they had done the business. Meanwhile it's injury time at the Bridge,Leicester just needed a point for the title and losing 1-0,30 secs to go and Cesc does a risky back pass,...............
February 5, 201610 yr Exactly. You want to protest, hit them in the pocket. Pick a game and dont buy tickets for it. See how they like a half empty stadium. touche sir

In the recent match with Everton I loved that this was brought back up. Them giving it billy big bollocks about Terry being offside, and vile, and a vile club...and we as Chelsea fans could say "if we hadn't beat Bolton on the final day of the 97-98 campain, your lot would have been relegated." Not much of a reply after that other than the usual "he (Terry) is still a c*nt!!"
February 5, 201610 yr In unsurprising news, Rosicky's out for three months: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35501709 Considering he's out of contract in the summer and not looking particularly likely to get a new one, this could well be the end of him at Arsenal.

I would imagine that this is the case. I can't remember him making anything more than a couple of substitute appearances so far this season, but I'l admit that I don't go out of my way to watch all of Arsenal's games. With him, and Wilshire, they seem to have a few midfielders that suffer injuries often.

February 5, 201610 yr Fun fact: that was my third Chelsea game. Well, not fun exactly... or interesting either. But a fact nonetheless! Shirts off for the Chelsea was the chant that day lol roasting hot day our last game before the ecwc final.
February 5, 201610 yr Shirts off for the Chelsea was the chant that day lol roasting hot day our last game before the ecwc final. Yeah, gem started that chant.
February 5, 201610 yr I was at that Bolton game and all of us booed when chelsea scored...remember Everton fans thanking chelsea for getting the win that helped them stay up, but little did they know we were rooting for Bolton all along
February 5, 201610 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35508280 Looks like this might actually happen. Not sure how I would feel about Mourinho being the United manager as I've always associated him with Chelsea. He is, however, no doubt a world class manager who would allow us to compete properly with Pep and City. If it does become United vs City, Mou vs Pep, the media would be ecstatic.
February 5, 201610 yr Additional to this, arsenal were going to make their season ticket fans pay an additional £16 for the Barcelona match, because it was Barcelona. Disgusting club
February 5, 201610 yr Was this quote from before the smug self righteous Hoeness went to jail for tax fraud? There's ripping off fans and there's ripping off fans. He just went about it differently.

Utd and their fans backtracking quicker than david Cameron....turned their nose up at him for some reason, all this crap about Utd being above him/better than that-it was Liverpool esque... now they realise he's their best hope...
February 6, 201610 yr Something odd for me about that £145M to Barcelona for Neymar. I know Barcelona have financial problems and Pep is a Catalan .... ??? Irrespective of the player's abilities, for me, I think there's something not right. Mez Edited February 6, 201610 yr by mez
February 6, 201610 yr IF (IF) we beat Watford and Leicester and City draw, we will go second. This is getting nerve wracking. It's a fairly big if however. It seems a bit mad to be where we are as it is. Edit: poss not - I'll check the goal difference. If Leicester beat City and we beat Watford we might be second this evening. Best wishes to CFC for tomorrow's match. Utd are definitely there to beat. Edited February 6, 201610 yr by Spudulike
