According to bundesliga.de neither Bernat nor Rahman were the LB in the TOP 11 of the season. Kicker rates him overall as the 70th best player in the league.

I think you may have read it wrong, because I read something similar, possibly on the same site. He was nominated and missed out, but that doesn't mean he was second as others may have been nominated too.

Exactly and no emotional buy in, if he crashes and burns we can all walk away not really any worse the wear for the damage done.

Easier said than done. We do seem to find great talent at a relatively cheap price. KDB, Curtois, Happy, Dave etc...

Would be great to find some 20 year old to play occasionally and groom for the future. John Brooks for one comes to mind

We have not spent anything when you consider players sold to ones brought in this summer either.
