March 16, 201610 yr It's his age more than anything I think that would go against it. Isn't he 35 later this year? Can't see us paying superstar wages to someone that old He is yeah, but he's definitely still got it, he's never relied on pace, so his age isn't a huge factor for me, I think his ego means that he wouldn't fail like Falcao or Torres, he's too proud for that.
March 16, 201610 yr He may be 35 but remember next season we will not be playing at the highest level. This is the type of one off transfer signing we need. If the quality of his football is declining, then his presence alone would still be highly beneficial to our squad. The man is a real leader and would certainly sort out the flakers in the team. Failing that offer him the 10mil a year salary for him and costa to have it out at Stamford bridge. That would do Mayweather Pacquiao numbers.
March 16, 201610 yr but chelsea have no manager so either somebody else at chelsea other than the manager decides who comes and who goes, or they have already sounded out the next manager as to whether he would like ibra or not or the whole story is a load of bull
March 16, 201610 yr but chelsea have no manager so either somebody else at chelsea other than the manager decides who comes and who goes, or they have already sounded out the next manager as to whether he would like ibra or not or the whole story is a load of bull That's what worries me. If this is Conte's call then I'll trust him but if this is someone at the club signing another name then it could be the first nail in Conte's coffin. Ibra and Costa up-front together could be great but it's still a massive risk.
March 16, 201610 yr f**k no! Maybe 5 years ago but no way now. He's the wrong type of character in a club lacking leadership. Can see him falling out with Conte in a big way!! Plus, how can we sign him but not offer JT a new contract?
March 16, 201610 yr Nothing wrong with his leadership-skills. He is a great player still as we know. However he is 34 and never experienced Prem. A risky buy. Still you have to love Zlatan a bit.

March 16, 201610 yr Don't particularly like him and not sure I would be keen. However it be abit of a statement signing that we can still sing good players even though no CL. Personally i think he's more likely to go to United with Jose.
March 16, 201610 yr In terms of strengthening our team, I'd take him. We need to do all we can to get back to CL football, and signing a proven European Striker with a nose (lol) for goal would certainly help us get there. It would also be short term so we can cut the fat when we are back to the top. Win/win really.
March 16, 201610 yr I don't think he will settle for a rotation role even at 35. Unless we are going to play a 2 strikers system, Costa will be shipped out. On the other hand, He has won league title with every club he played for, I'm sure he's keen to finish off his career by doing it in England. He's not dependent speed or strength, I fancy his chances more than Torres, Sheva. I would be tempted if I'm running the club
March 16, 201610 yr It can never be wrong to post this, in case there is a solitary ShedEnder who hasn't seen it.
March 17, 201610 yr I for one would welcome him. Coupled with Carroll there is a strong front two partnership that can be forged. No more space for pussies in the team.

March 17, 201610 yr Has all the hallmarks of classic stupid Chelsea but who knows? He might not turn out to be another Shevchenko or Falcao. On the plus side with him and Pato in the squad, we should be real favourites for the 2010 Serie A title. Yep, unfortunately this rumour is quite persistent and has all the hallmarks of another Roman personal signing. Probably just what Mr Conte doesn't want.

I can't stand the prick to be honest. Full of himself, thinks he better than everyone else and is allowed to get away with things other footballers wouldn't be allowed to get away with. If Costa elbowed a player like Ibrahimovic did to Terry in pre season there would be people calling for a 10 game ban.
March 17, 201610 yr maybe we should pay for his statue to replace the eiffel tower so he stays at psg, might save us a few quid in the long run
March 17, 201610 yr He's what 35 now and still on a different level to most centre forwards, for me same level as Drogs. Said before I'd take him and stick by it, though as someone else said reckon he'll end up at United. If not Ibra will take Cavani. Edited March 17, 201610 yr by the special one

Amazing what a top knot and patchy facial hair makes some people believe.
