Its never easy to play Stoke away.  Especially when the ref has declared open season on smashing Chelsea players in the head with their elbows/forearms.  A lot of calls could of gone our way that didnt.  But the team should have been better.

 

Cesc is starting to really disgust me.  You come on for twenty minutes and your most telling contribution is to give the ball away more times than the players who played 90 minutes ( oh, and possession and passing are his forte! LOL) and after you turn over the ball?  Yes, I think its a nice time for Cesc to WALK aimlessly around the middle of the pitch whilst the rest of the team runs back.  This guy could not give a f**k if Chelsea lost every game for the rest of this season, its clear as day in his body language.  He is mentally weak and not a winner enough to drive on when it gets tough.

 

I'd love to have a tea with Adams, Shawcross and An-auto-bitch (oh big man, target a player half your size when his back is turned because he stole the ball off you like the chump you are) because I see no reason why they would not target Chelsea players, it works and the refs allow it.  

 

Remy should of saved the theatrics or gone down.  If it was enough contact to recreate Bambi on ice, its a penalty so go down and call for it.  

 

Anyways, disappointed with many in the team, disgusted with the ref and pissed off at certain opposition players who take liberties (and acting the bitch when its returned).  All in all, I could tell it was a weekend game

There are still things we need to try
one of them is bringing young players in!
I feel that those players minds are all tainted with despair and defeats
We need YOUNG PLAYERS fearless that what's to prove themselves! its not like we are getting top 4 so why not just try?

play RLC next to Matic don't play Fabregas he is just giving the ball away way too cheaply
play Kenedy and Traore at the 60th minute

And bench Costa for Remy, Costa is just not making any of the runs, he is fighting on the wings its not helping

Agree with Valerie; "we were unlucky" doesn't cut in anymore. Stoke were cynical ... one counter attack and then parked the bus and defended bravely. Shawcross had Costa in his pocket from the first minute ... 

 

The league was gone several weeks ago, top four is gone ... we have to fight for survival now, and the sooner everyone wakes up to this, the sooner we will bounce back. 

Why are we making that extra pass. Shoot Oscar, please.

To be honest, it's not knee jerking, after countess defeats.

It's killing me to see players losing their ball and then walking instead of running back to get the ball back and start a new attack. I'm talking about Fabregas, Hazard, Costa sometimes. I just can't understand that sometimes it  seems like they want to lose and they don't care about the team. Youth can't be worse, they will do everything to prove themselves and they will do everything to get the team better. 

Stoke were bang lucky and Hughes is dillusional.

To say we weren't creating in open play is laughable. We hit the post and Remy should of had a penalty, in open play. Also a couple of other half chances.

Someone mentioned something earlier which I was going to post. Although Begovic has done well and is an adequate back up , he is nowhere near the level of TIbo. Should've done better with the goal and the last two games has made costly mistakes.

Generally played quite well but it counts for nothing unless we win

Agreed. There is nothing "knee jerking" about 3 straight months of complete ineptitude. Seriously, we're far and away more in a relegation battle than a CL place battle. I keep thinking things will come good, but it's not happening.

Similarly to this, I can't stand when they go down looking for the FK, realise they haven't got it and then lie about. Willian did it with 5 minutes left and I was screaming for him to WIN BACK THE BALL WHEN YOUR A GOAL DOWN WITH 5 MINUTES LEFT

I wasn't moaning about the performance, I just said that I'm sick of the current situation and I'm sick of the dodgy officiating. As far as countless wins, I'm talking this season, we've gone past knee jerk stage.

Pretty sure Sky done a colum on who's worse than last year and it showed Costa has had 2 clear cut chances and scored 2, this year.

Last year he had 22 and scored 18 in the same games, we're not creating nearly the same amount of chances.

How is Begovic to blame? I wouldn't expect any keeper to save that, point blank range with good pace, I don't think Tibo would save that either.

I'll give some credit to the team and just advise this is yet another BPL match this season where the opposition has scored winners against us with 11 men when they should of been down to 10 or even 9.

 

The team should be doing better but they are not getting any breaks and are actually fighting a lot of up hill battles with the officials.  Sometimes you need a lucky bounce or officiating error to help get over a slump, cant bank on the former and the latter would be winning lottery type odds it would seem.

All that matters is what the result is.  Amount of possession, shots, passes etc we had is irrelevant. And that result has been negative too much this season.

So how many goals from open play have we scored in the league so far this season? Four maybe less?

You can make all the excuse in the world like penalties not being given but as league champions we shouldn't rely on decisions from officials.

The attackers have been rubbish this season and I don't know how anyone can argue otherwise.

I'm not arguing otherwise. Nor am I talking about the season , hence the reason I'm posting in the match day thread. In this match we created chances in open play and didn't take them. Simple as that
