I'd take him here tbh. I've done a complete 360 on James coming here in the last 12 months. 

If greizmann and sanchez are no go options then I think James would be a good choice. 

He has something to prove, and we have seen with plenty of players that failing to nail down a starting position at Barcelona or Real Madrid doesn't mean you can't be a superstar at another big club. 

Yes on paper we don't play with a number  10 which is his favoured position, but if you look at the positions pedro, hazard, willian take up, they have the sort of licence to roam that a traditional number requires, to find pockets of space to hurt teams. 

He's also a little different to anything we currently have, excellent technique, vision, passing, deals from set pieces and long range, and he is also a good playmaker who we can turn to in games where kante and matic play over cesc. 

I also think he would be a real statement of intent signing, which is vital to keeping our own top players, and attracting players in the future. 

Question is whether real would sell both morata and James to us, knowing that it could turn us into a major threat for them in Europe next season. 

I know there will be a few doubters saying he isn't a conte type player, but I don't buy that. Conte will turn him into a 'conte player'.

    Bale can't stay fit anymore. Always getting injured just when he's had a run of 8 games or so where he's starting to pick form. That's a bit of a liability, don't you think?

    Oh no I didn't mean i'd like Bale as a foil for Hazard, I meant i'd like James, poor phrasing on my part. But I meant Bale is undoubtedly a top player but hasn't done that well for Madrid, so we can't judge too much on a player's merit based on their time at Madrid

    Right now he is not worthing more then 30mln. But i doubt they sell it for less then 50mln.

    Conte wants fighter in his team and James isn`t one. So i dobut we will look at him.

    Bernardeschi is the better option.

    I wouldn't mind, would prefer James but assuming 3-4-3 next year Lanzini will have limited opportunities but still give us the option of playing with a #10 (3-4-1-2/4-2-3-1 etc). If we sign Bernardeschi I can see Willian joining Bayern (maybe Juve/United)
