You got to be disappointed with this result, highlights alone showed you had some good chances. Herrera's miss was worse than Matic's.

Yeah, I think both teams can be disappointed for that matter. I wasn't expecting much against a team without a striker if I'm honest but we still gave away quite a few chances.

For all our possession, I think there was a similar amount of chances created including your set piece chances.

At least with yet another depressing game played, we are a step closer to the season ending and a step closer to a lovely little summer jumble sale.

Huge opportunity missed, twice in 2 days, shocking! Granted they had a good start and could have scored, there were always chances for us on the counter, we just managed to f* it up Chelsea style every single time. The No striker system didn't work, never worked for us. Hazard is a creator, he didn't know what to do when leading the line. Surely, any striker would worth a try in the later stage of the game, against their high line. At least without Cesc, we managed to lose possession 12 times in a game. Tibo earned the point, I thought that chance from the goal line cross in was a goal until Tibo pulled it off. Their style suited us, we were terrible against direct fast play, they made it easy for us, apart from Ivanovic who got run over just abut every second time. Can't wait for the transfer window to open, we just need a few players, even they aren't at the usual Chelsea standard.

Hope we start jumble sale in January lol. It really beggars belief as to how many poor players we have in our squad. ( I don't mean financially by the way)

A good result for us. We could've got more from the game but we could've also lost easily.

Also it's a positve that we kept a clean sheet away, although against a dire offense.

I'd be happy if we brought in a couple of key players that could have a big impact, then in the summer we can look to strengthen the entire team and get shot of players who aren't Chelsea quality. Not many in this team should be wearing the shirt and we have no backbone, the spine of the team disappeared and it shows, we seriously need to look at bringing in physical, aggressive players who put a lot of work in, instead of these flash in a pan technical players, who haven't got the stomach to cope with the complete loss in form.

Well I do my predictions every week and had this down as a 0-0 and it was always gonna be 0-0.

Two toothless sides with too many players off form and coaches playing negative tactics. That said it was only Utd who tried to go on to win it - we seemed happy with the point very early on. Shocking that we at least didn't try something different with 20 minutes to go when some of our players looked totally f**ked but it has become pretty much the norm this season. one substition of note and we bring on Ramires FFS. Different coach, same old sh*te.

Maybe Guus didn't want to spoil our freeflowing misplaced passes so Ramires was perfect.

Probably repeating myself but we were playing without a striker. Are people being too demanding? I know we need the points. MU may not be in their pomp but its still Old Trafford.

Just got back from the pub after watching the game.

I haven't read the thread at all but I'm not even mad, this match was pure comedy. Two completely inept teams both succeeding at shooting themselves in the foot.

that is how it is w/ CFC fans. Hell I remember last season when CFC defeated manure 1-0 at Da Bridge, people were still bitter even though CFC defeated the dirty red mancs because it wasn't done w/ attacking style. You just can't please all the people all of the time.

Some people need to grow up Hiddink's second game and they're expecting miracles. Yes United are sh*t but so are we. You don't just turn confidence on and off. We've been getting hammered all season so to go to United and come away with a point will go such a long way to restoring how the players are feeling. We can't even get points at home so to get one away was enough for me. We were poor but so were they. And that chance Matic should really have worked De Gea at the minimum but sh*t happens.

Pathetic and predictable the way MOTD just glossed over Rooney's horrific lunge. If that had been Costa, they'd be having a field day, but cause it's England captain Wayne they defend him and make light of it.

It wasn't a bad result overall, given how both teams played, but it isn't expecting a miracle to wish for a little bit of passion and desire, the first half was a joke, it also isn't a miracle to hope that Matic can shoot like he isn't blind. I don't think people need to grow up, they just want some fight from players who have offered less than nothing this season.

No surprise at all, and also barely a mention of it on sky. But yeah, all teams and players are treat the same, we keep being told.

Wright is a complete fool of a man, Shearer is not much better.

Can't believe Matic didn't at least hit the target, but happy enough with the point. Palace next will be a challenge.

Martin Atkinson is a referee staying out of the limelight, he's issued no reds all season, and awarded no penalties.

He's trying to get the Euros final this year, he wants that big game on his CV.

From the moment he let off Ashley Young for a professional foul early on, you just knew Atkinson would need to see blood before he gets the red card out today.

He should have sent off Rooney, but as he saw the Barnes challenge on Matic last year,we should be grateful he didn't totally ignore today's horror challenge.

He missed a bad foul by Smalling on Zouma that was a clear yellow to go with the one he got for his professional foul on Hazard, so that should have been another red.

He failed to book Herrera when he took a blatant kick at Hazard, and as he later booked him, that was three reds he should have given today. You could also make a case for two yellows for the two Martial dives.

Lack of striker or not, There was no excuse for that first half performance...ranks as bad as any I have seen for years...no desire or effort at all...we were just lucky we were playing another sh*t team and they hit the woodwork rather than the net

Best part of the game for me by a mile was when Zouma turned on the burners for a recovery tackle against Martial. Beautiful to watch.

Inhuman, he hasn't ever had to deal with that. Usually when he glides past someone it's curtains.
