January 21, 201610 yr Atsu is not and, I can confidently say, won't ever be good enough. Including him is just complaining for the sake of complaining. How much have you genuinely watched him? I am not one of these who would sell their own mother to see youth play in our first team, just stating that those players will most definitely be out on loan come Feb 2nd.
January 21, 201610 yr How much have you genuinely watched him? I am not one of these who would sell their own mother to see youth play in our first team, just stating that those players will most definitely be out on loan come Feb 2nd. Watched his loan at Rio Ave and his whole season at Porto, knew he would never become anything special and was completely against his signing as you may be able to see in the Atsu thread if it's still around. They most likely will be out on loan and for one or two of them that would be unfair but not Atsu.
January 21, 201610 yr Atsu is not and, I can confidently say, won't ever be good enough. Including him is just complaining for the sake of complaining. Atsu has unrealised potential and can be terrific at times. He more or less as good as Pedro in terms of quality and equally profiglate in terms of end product. That said Pedro isn't good enough either (the guy is extremely overhyped)... However Victor Moses would be an ideal supersub who could also start some games... And is already better than Pedro. He's the one player who never should have been loaned out.
January 21, 201610 yr What's the deal with this guy? Don't really follow Italian football but last I knew he was tearing Serie A apart, now he's adrift at some Brazilian club looking to join us for peanuts. What happened?

January 21, 201610 yr What a surprise that you rate both Astu and Moses, nothing to do with them both being African I'm sure. You guys have a reading impediment? I just wrote I didn't rate Atsu. Same as I don't rate Pedro. Atsu can have absolutely superb games (he was MVP at the African Cup of Nations for a reason), but he's a headless chicken running into trouble more often than not, while usually not producing enough end product. Ergo same as Pedro. Meanwhile Victor Moses has proved his worth and I don't deem him world class, but he's definitely the type of player that can add something from the bench or let first team players rotate. January 21, 201610 yr Atsu as good as Pedro......dear God give it a rest with your embarrassing fawning over every African player.
January 21, 201610 yr Atsu as good as Pedro......dear God give it a rest with your embarrassing fawning over every African player. If you guys at least attempted to understand what I wrote I'll simplify it so you can UNDERSTAND: Atsu is as bad as Pedro. Both are not Chelsea grade.
January 21, 201610 yr Yeah well done in simplifying "He more or less as good as Pedro" into hes as bad as Pedro. Genius.
January 21, 201610 yr Comparing Atsu to a player with over 300 appearances for maybe the greatest club side ever and over 50 appearances for one of the best international teams ever. A player who has won almost as many trophies as Atsu has had birthdays is frankly ridiculous.
January 21, 201610 yr Becoming a boring saga. Hiddink wont shed any light on it tomorrow, either. Fully expect him to refuse to discuss or just deny interest.

A player who has won almost as many trophies as Atsu has had birthdays is frankly ridiculous. Can't you see that he is referring to there current form? Or are you just exaggerating?
January 22, 201610 yr His agent has apparently come out and said that no official bids for Pato have been made by any club. Possibly last minute tactics to boost interest and squeeze out a bit more money from the transfer.
January 22, 201610 yr Thought I had come in to the Pato rumour thread and all I can see are posts about some bloke called Atsu? Anyway, do we want to sign Pato? Do we f**k. It's a No from me.
January 22, 201610 yr Can't you see that he is referring to there current form? Or are you just exaggerating? That's wrong too though.
January 22, 201610 yr His agent has apparently come out and said that no official bids for Pato have been made by any club. Possibly last minute tactics to boost interest and squeeze out a bit more money from the transfer. Thats wat was reported anyway. We had agreement with Pato but not his club. If anything he sounded like he was trying to hurry us up
January 22, 201610 yr Why is it that Chelsea always get into these long drawn out negotiations over what is essentially pennies? If they wanted Pato he should have been in here on Jan 1st to get acclimated and actually help this team as much as possible to get points. Now he's been out of action since December and meanwhile Chelsea have dropped valuable points. And he still has to come in and get fit and get comfortable. Same thing with Texeira. It's become very annoying to hear that Chelsea is interested in anyone because if it's true you know a saga is unfolding. Edited January 22, 201610 yr by Saaladin
January 24, 201610 yr Hiddink says no thanks... “The interim manager at Stamford Bridge does not think the Corinthians forward is good enough for the Blues and has turned down the chance to sign him for £7 million” http://www.goal.com/en/news/14222/transfer-talk/2016/01/24/19635282/- Edited January 24, 201610 yr by Socrates
January 24, 201610 yr So are we going to just stick with the current squad and allow the next permanent manager to assess the squad and make changes as they see fit? Can't believe that personally, this squad reeks of club signings which is part the reason we are in this mess.
January 24, 201610 yr The long-running Alexandre Pato saga has taken another twist with news that Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink has blocked the Blues’ proposed move for the Brazilian striker. The Daily Star report that the Dutchman has put the kibosh on the £7million move after expressing doubts over what sort of impact the forward would have at Stamford Bridge.
January 24, 201610 yr So are we going to just stick with the current squad and allow the next permanent manager to assess the squad and make changes as they see fit? This would be the most logical decision. Can't believe that personally, this squad reeks of club signings which is part the reason we are in this mess. Sorry but disagree. Jose himself spoke about some players (Cesc, Diego, Matic, Pedro) which he personally involved himself in their deals. Edited January 24, 201610 yr by lesblues

The Daily Star report that the Dutchman has put the kibosh on the £7million move after expressing doubts over what sort of impact the forward would have at Stamford Bridge. Let me give you an example of why no one takes Daily Star serious "Chelsea are considering a loan move for Thiago Silva" Awful newspaper wouldnt believe them if they told me today was Sunday. Plus I'd imagine Hiddink would have shot down the Pato stuff in his presser if he knew he was going to veto it
