I'm not really sure what your getting at. If he can run 100m in 11s he will be quicker than at least 90% of the players in the league, so I'm puzzled how you would describe those figures as not that quick.

I was thinking match conditions not rather professional set times, 11s seconds in a match is roughly a top speed of 31km/h which is within reason for a good amount of footballers. Pato getting 11s in a professional set time now, however, is highly unlikely. He must have set it when he was 14/15 like most of the footballers in that article.

I think you lost the argument a few post backs. Sorry. 

Falcao won't be leaving, he will more than likely stay with us until the end of the season. It's a shame he cannot stay fit as I'd love to see him get more game time.

I'd be happy with Pato if he comes in, we won't be paying silly money for him either. We all know Costa is first choice, but having a fit & decent back up will help.

Can we go back to arguing over which footballers can run a tenth of a second quicker than each other over 100M please, I was enjoying that.

His agent has apparently said we've agreed a 6 month loan and Pato will arrive in London tomorrow.

 

I hope the first thing we do when he arrives is to get him to put on a pair of football boots and make him run 100M. I think we need some clarity here.

A loan deal seems fairly sensible - if he amounts to anything the option to sign him will be there, and if he's complete toss we can quietly escort him out of the exit.

Do we make allowances for jet lag?

Six month loan deal is fairly low risk. Should be enough for the club to assess his form and fitness.

 

Doubt he'll be much use to us this season, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

 

We're due one of these signings to come good.

Six months loan is good business, means if the new manager don't want him he's not lumbered with him.

Hopefully provides some competition up front as sick notes Remy and Falcao have been a big disappointment this season.
