A good first half but lets not get too carried away this Newcastle defense is probably as poor as those you find in the lower reaches of La Liga heck Rolando Aarons isn't even a defender. And this is the reason Pedro actually looks threatening he is playing against the poor quality he is used too.

Hope a few players get a rest in the second half would be nice to see 2 of RLC Traore and Kenedy and it will be good to see Baba for 50 minutes. 

Come on you Blues! lets keep this up and make a statement. More goals please, need to re create some fear for some of the lower teams in the league.

I can't effing believe it! Great atmosphere at The Bridge and first game in this season I'm quite relaxed enjoying the game. I was surprised not to see Oscar even as sub, but so far the strategy is working. A bit scared for JT, though it didn't look like anything relevant. Hope the second half is also as enjoyable and hope to see a couple of goals on this MH side. C'mon Chelsea!

I'm especially happy for Pedro, who I think has come in for some very harsh criticism on here.

It will be interesting to see how Ivan copes at centreback after so many years spent out on the right. I've always thought of him as a CB first and foremost and he has played very well for use there in the past. Maybe all that running up and down the touchline has finally caught up with him this season and it's time for him to switch back to the middle , we'll see.
