PSG vs. Chelsea (CL) 16/02/16 KO: 19:45 BST

If we go in to this game timid, like in many of our games, we will get slaughtered. Need to stand up to PSG. Show them respect but get in their faces, like Verratti does in every game.

Yeah, and several of our players have looked timid. Only Costa looks like a hungry confident bull. Hazard and Courtois have looked timid, and we have no chance if they enter the game like that.

JT never looks timid. The team needs a leader who can set the tone. His injury could hurt the team more in terms of mindset than in terms of ability. Another reason to keep him next season.

I don't think there usually is much news on injuries etc on a Sunday following a game. I'm not saying he is ok but the lack of news so far doesn't mean anything.

I hope you're right. Normally the lack of news on a Sunday is meaningless, but normally we don't have crucial games on Tuesday.

Yeah but Sunday is still a dead news day really, match on Tuesday or not.

Club Twitter says he was scanned today. Yesterday said may be muscular or hamstring, check as I'm not hot on social meeja .

Thanks for the update. JT is so tough and hungry that if there's any way for him to play, he will. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to play down his injury to the doctors, though you can't exactly fake a scan. If he's out, we'll know that it's truly bad. Not bad in a Zouma way, but bad in a "it would be medically unethical for me to let you play because you need to rest" way.

Going to be a real tough one.

But we are underfeated under Gus.

I would love JT to be fit cause he would be right up for it.

So to sssist the defence i would play both Matic and Mikel.

I would be happy with anything other than a loss.

The team i would pick would be the following, cant drop Pedro after Newcastle so Hazard would be on the bench.

Courtois

Azpi---Ivan---Cahill--Baba

Mikel----matic

Pedro---cesc---Willian

Costa

This is tough to guess the line-up with Matic suspended it makes things more complicated.

If Terry is fit i would play

Courtois

Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Azpilicueta

Mikel

Willian - Fabregas

Pedro - Costa - Hazard

If injuries force us into playing Ivanovic and Cahill as our centre back pairing, which in turn forces us to start Rahman, my thoughts are that Guus' natural reaction would be to start Mikel and Matic. With the latter unavailable through suspension, I have no clue who he will choose. It will almost certainly prove to be worth it in the long run, but I imagine the phrase 'why the f**k did we sell Ramires?' will be entering a lot of Chelsea fans' minds by the end of Tuesday night.

If Baba starts, expect Willian to play on the left to tighten up the defence. We can't afford Hazard covering for Baba, probably not Pedro either. This is the kind of match we could use a Ramires, but we got Oscar. PSG got the better team, the disadvantage is they don't play enough tough games. They could rest all they like, but may not be at the top of their game comes match time.

Very tough game. We will start clear underdogs. I would take 0-1 loss at this stage although obviously hope for more.

Assuming terry and Oscar injured team will likely be much same as on weekend.

I like baba and he has great potential but he has clear positional weakness defensively, just doesn't get tight enough.

Ah well funny thing about football is that games don't always go as expected. Here's hoping.

They beat us with 10 men when we were top of the league. I have no hope for this game. Anything positive is a bonus for me.

Did they? The way i saw it was, other then the Bradford game where we didn't have our strongest team out our 2 worst performances last season were home and away to PSG i thought we were awful in both games and they still couldn't beat us.

He doesn't look a threat to me. Am more worried about Dimaria, Ibrahim and Pastore.

Pastore is injured. Matuidi will be a problem because he's got lots of energy and pace to break-up attacks and start counter attacks for PSG. For us Mikel, Matic, and Fabregas are all very slow so they may expose our midfield for the lack of pace and tenacity. I think Ramires could have made a difference for us.
