March 6, 201610 yr If guus starts with matic & mikel were f##ked!!!....the team i would like to see is.....tibo-dave cahill ivan baba-mikel fab-willian bertie kenedy-costa ....go all out attack we'v got f##k all to lose & everything to win...we can do this....2-1 after 90 min ivan or cahill with the winner in xtra time...KTBFFH!!!
March 6, 201610 yr Team picks itself except for lb and one attacking midfielder. Baba or Kennedy? Close call Oscar/Pedro/Traore? Pedro if fit, Oscar on form is a good combo with fab and hazard but traores pace might make the difference. We will be under pressure so ability to execute on a fast break is likely important. We will get chances and so will they. Should be a good game.
March 6, 201610 yr I don't see us keeping a clean sheet right now, if we are going to win it will be 3:1 or more. If we get an early goal, I hope we keep going and not sitting back. PSG is a good side, they will have their dominant period in the game, so we can't afford to let them take control of the possession. Team should pick itself, it will be a nail baiting last 5 when we are hanging on with both Mikel/Matic on the field.
March 6, 201610 yr I don't see any chance for us to go through. Their midfield is powerful and ours is amongst the worst in the PL. I will be pleasantly surprised if we show some spirit and make it.
March 7, 201610 yr We've seen this Chelsea play well. The first half in Paris was 50:50 and we had a good spell of attacking play for 20 minutes or so. If that team shows up we can go through. If the team that shows up is that of the second half in Paris or the one against Stoke, we are done. For what is worth, I'm also concerned about the stands. I hope we create a good atmosphere for the players and make PSG a bit nervous. SB is the 12th player and we can't fail this time.

And which player is Bertie?
March 7, 201610 yr If we win this, then am certain we will get to the final as my mind keeps telling me we will get Wolfsburg or Manchester City in the next round.
March 7, 201610 yr Are they missing? I think they're struggling and that's huge for this one. Verratti is an excellent player and someone I'd love here but if he's missing or even not 100% then they're a much weaker side for it. Same goes for Matuidi who can do a job on us like Imbula did at the weekend if he's on top-form.
March 7, 201610 yr we will almost certainly need to score 3 to go through, we are capable of that, PSG will probably start off slow being in that awkward position not knowing whether to be defensive or play attacking football, so hopefully we can get a fast start score early and take control of the game, it wont be easy but we can do it!
March 7, 201610 yr Author Imo Traore is more dangerous on the right than Willian, he has a brilliant left foot and would really give PSG problems coming in from the right side. Kenedy has also shown he can be direct and is capable of beating players coming in from the left wing, something Hazard has struggled with this season. With those two on the flanks we will keep the PSG full backs busy, it will also give Cesc plenty of options when looking for an outlet ball. With Kenedy pushing up on the wing, Hazard can come in field more and push up behind Costa. Defensive formation -------------------------Tibo Dave-------Ivanovic-----Cahill-------Kenedy -------------------Cesc----Mikel ---Traore------------Willian------------Hazard ------------------------Costa Attacking formation -------------------------Tibo ---------Dave-------Ivanovic-----Cahill------ -------------------Cesc----Mikel ---Traore------------Willian------------Kenedy -------------------------Hazard ------------------------Costa

You really think there is 0.01% chance of us playing 3-5-2 v PSG using traore and kenedy as Wingbacks. Daft post.

Same goes for Matuidi who can do a job on us like Imbula did at the weekend if he's on top-form. You shouldn't be afraid of Matuidi playing this one. Quite the opposite actually, you should hope he actually makes it. This player is a fraud. Some praise that he does one hell of a job by running to the four corners of the pitch but this should be the strict minimum for a professional player. Matuidi lacks the technical abilities and the discipline. When our team fights to recover the ball, he commits an incredible number of stupid and dangerous fouls giving the opponent 3 to 4 very good free kicks per game, and when we do have the ball, well, let's just say he looks like a mix between pacman and a pruner. He is just living on the 4 goals he scored in August which is btw absolutely not what is required of him. Matuidi is just an average left midfielder with basic technique and great mentality. When he got injured last week, everyone that I know was praying for him not to be able to play the game vs Chelsea because we all know it would be the only way for Blanc to play with Pastore, Di maria, Ibra and Cavani. And now Blanc wants to put him on the field even if he is not at 100% of his physical abilities which is his only strength?? Verratti is another story. We cannot play a decent game without him because Blanc, again, never cared to try an other organisation than his 4-3-3 with an aging Motta and a fraud like Matuidi who lets Verratti do all the work in his stead. I really think Verratti will be there, it looks just like disinformation to me.
March 7, 201610 yr Tibo Azpi Cahill Brana Kenedy (if fit, Baba if not) Mikel Cesc Traore Hazard Willian Costa Give Eden a chance at number 10 against them, see if he can show some quality there. Wow. Just imagine Di Maria or Lucas running at Kennedy at left back. Just because he scored one goal playing there once people really need to stop thinking he should be chose to play there more often. Can't defend for s**t and has zero positional awareness sadly.

I like Matuidi, but I think his workrate could be key firstly in putting pressure on Fabregas when he's on the ball but also if the game gets stretched towards the end. Good insight though.
March 7, 201610 yr I like Matuidi, but I think his workrate could be key firstly in putting pressure on Fabregas when he's on the ball but also if the game gets stretched towards the end. Good insight though. Well Matuidi is a cause of division among PSG fans. Some think exactly like you and that we cannot afford to lack the pressure he puts on the opponent playmaker. Others, like me, think we cannot afford to not play with Pastore who could apply some kind of pressure on Fabregas as well and bring his vision and some key passes which we absolutely need especially when Verratti is not there. Anyway we shall see but would we play without Pastore and Verratti, I really think Chelsea will pass. Furthermore, on a psychological dimension, what message do you send to your opponent by doing everything you can so that Pastore, who has been enormous in every game vs Chelsea, starts on the bench and put Matuidi/Rabiot instead? It shows fear, not confidence. And as some of you mentioned earlier on, the key for PSG would be to score 1 or 2 goals, not to aim for a 0-0 and Blanc 'll send a weird message to both his troops and opponents by setting up a team with an obvious lack of creativity.
March 7, 201610 yr Hello, Don't listen this PSG fan name doulsu, Matuidi is not a cause of division between us, he is our key player in the trio midfield with Motta and Verratti. As ShedEnder91 said the Matuidi's workrate is fantastic and of one the best box to box in Europe, we can't perform without him in the midfield in CL games. He is also loved by the fans as true gentleman and down to earth guy. Pastore won't start because of lack of consistency and he defensive workrate is awful, he doesn't like to fight he's an artist not a fighter. It will be tough game, i can see a draw as well, once again details will make the differences also corner/free kicks chances.

Don't listen to this funny Zozio, Matuidi is a fraud and we are just hoping some PL mong would pull a David Luiz on us and buy him for 50M€. Here is a reminder of Matuidi's stunning performance against Chelsea 2 years ago. Beautiful tribute (not sure how to embed video on your forum. Edit: seems like I even made it unvoluntarily) Part II shows all his touches in the 2nd leg back then - and how useless he can be: Guys, just pray Matuidi will make it, he will run around like a headless chicken and demonstrate his ability to dismember himself like a dying gnu under a lion's jaw. He has the physique of Rui Barros and the technique of Saquille O'Neal. Let him run in the air, and focus on the 2 other midfielders and the game is yours. Matuidi's performances all over the seasons were absolutely disgusting imo. There is no objective reason for him to start except that voodoo belief that he might somehow be vital to our play that appears in comments such as your "we can't perform without him in the midfield in CL games". I am sorry but this explanation is poor, wouldn't you think ? Matuidi USED to be helpful, yes. His workrate WAS great yes. This season he sucks, period. He does not make any ball-winning challenges anymore, he just runs on the pitch, commits 3 to 4 fouls a game and scores one goal every 2 months or so.
March 7, 201610 yr Like others have said, I can see is conceding which means we will need at least three goals. I can't see us doing but want to be proved wrong. We need big performances from all our players. If Hazard isn't willing to get his head out of his backside then he shouldn't be playing.
