Arsenal will give Sunderland a pasting. And if they don't, they don't deserve to be anywhere near Europe next season.

They are making heavy weather of it so far.  I just couldn't see Arsenal NOT winning this, and easily.

Ah, bollocks.

Contrary, I feel, thats good. Need to play another game with the first team as they are still in the top 4 race. A few of their players look knackered. Why give Sanchez a week off?

A good point.

On balance, I reckon Arsenal getting a top four finish would be unjust.

However, they'd feel like they'd won a trophy, and it'd make them complacent, again, going into the Final.

It doesn't take much for Arsenal's basic cockiness to come to the fore.

I agree...we're putting our feet up, while they go flat out till the end on Sunday.

Shame about Fulham...have a lot more to offer the premier league than this dull reading team...and I will never forget how these pricks crocked cech and Cudicini in the same game

I know it was a Tuesday, but the crowd and atmosphere at the Emirates was terrible. The final whistle got a round of applause - no cheers, etc. They probably get a better atmosphere away.

I agree, best thing for us is they are still playing for something, imagine if they failed at the last minute or something. It would really sh*t on there confidence.

West Brom are doing everything they can to avoid Europa League next season. Tony Pulis must be the most unambitious manager around. Every season his only target is to avoid relegation.

Once again we saw a team save their best performance against us...raised their game against us on Friday, rolled over against City just four days later...w**kers

Furthermore, id rather they got top 4 opposed to Liverpool even though its unlikely. With Klopp's big game record they could do something decent or worse.

By the same logic Middlesbrough rolled over at The Bridge while playing the performance of there lives at the other big venue's  (draw at Emirates and Ethiad while late narrow loses at WHL and OT). This myth that every teams goes all out to beat us while practically throwing them vs the main rivals is incredibly paranoid.

What About Southampton away and Everton home? Comfortably beat both a matter of weeks after both drew away to City. Burnley getting smashed at The Bridge but all the other big away games they drew or ran them close. I could name numerous example's down the years of this notion working in our favour. Back when it was United and Arsenal for the title pre Roman we regularly beat United but never Arsenal, were we rolling over for the latter?

Apart from Newcastle away there is not one single fixture we do significantly worse in compared to the rivals and every club has THAT one fixture, for example Barca's is Sociedad away.

I would love to see liverpool drop points on sunday and have City and Arsenal win, just to see the absolute meltdown in scouseland and hear about how next year they'll win the europa league having failed to get into the champions league

I would like manu to win the europa league in conjunction with your comments above and deny liverpool the chance of even playing in the europa league

- i think we could all just about get over missing a fabulous night of european football at Anfield - theres nothing quite like it !..best fans in the world

Talking of Liverpool missing out on Europe, the one thing that's really bothered me is that everyone claims "of course Chelsea won the league, they had no European matches to worry about"; well neither did Liverpool, and they're struggling to make top 4! It'd be hilarious if they missed out on the CL again, just because I struggle to think of a fan base that feels they 'deserve' success more...ignoring Spurs/Jermaine Jenas this season of course! Also because if we don't win it, we know arsenal and spurs will bottle it, and city I have no real feelings on. Not sure I can cope with another 'Istanbul 2005' love-fest.
