I agree that's a concern. This season, you've won - clearly - but the margin was narrow at times in the season and we failed at those times to catch up. They pressure told. I hope the squad will become mentally tougher with experience, including the experience of NOT winning the title. There's a delicate balance to strike between being pleased with a second place, but at the same time being gutted that we're second and that being a motivating factor next season. We want to avoid the Arsenal trap of seeing being second, third or fourth as a good result. 

Regarding leading the table, I agree. We'll have to wait and see and there are other concerns such as home games being at Wembley, the squad staying together, etc.

Dier, Walker and rose already want out apparently...levy being tight with wages was only going to last/work so long...you either pay the going rate or you lose your players...looks like the latter is under way

Anybody else getting sick of the constant bleating by Jose and the media with Uniteds fixture congestion? Yes we get that United have reached a final but like other teams in their position deal with it. I didn't hear anybody coming to our defence when we played in the Europa League, despite having played 69 matches in the season or for that matter when we were required to play a CL semi in the Nou Camp  less than 48 hrs after an FA Cup semi final.

In an ideal world maybe we should move fixtures around, this though is the way its been for many years now due to policing requirements. The Premier League also like quite rightly to uphold the integrity of the league and have all teams play at the same time on the final weekend, yes there are many dead rubber matches but each position in the league can mean a difference in two million pounds. Their match against Palace appears to be such a match but the difference in prize money for their seasons work can be considerable,not to forget the fans. What happens to the supporters who have booked travel at considerable cost from London to see this match plus the Palace fans of course, do they not deserve consideration? So stop bleating about how hard you are done by Jose and get on with the job instead of preparing for failure. I have to say it will be AMAZING if Ajax do us all a favour and give them a real good thrashing.

The more successful a team is the more games they have to play.

Jose should be thankful we put them out of the FA Cup,so that's less games he has to worry about.

Back in the 1970s and til 1985 teams who were in both a European Final and the FA Cup Final often had to play both within a few days of the other.

How much money will that restrict them on spending?

I understand rivals wanting to sign Rose and Walker but i don't understand the attraction to Dier. Sure he's versatile but i've never once thought he was a great footballer.

There's already a lot of talk about United wanted Dier, £40m bid being touted. 

Kyle Walker looks set to leave as well, Man City and Bayern have been rumoured. 

Danny Rose has been heavily linked to a move too. 

If Spurs don't at least attempt to match wages being offered from elsewhere they'll struggle to hold onto everyone.

If only that were true. Since the play-off finals have been at Wembley, there aren't many clubs that haven't had a couple of trips there. I understand the economic reasoning, but Wembley is so overused that there is simply nothing remotely interesting about it anymore. And by the time Spurs and most likely we have used it for several league campaigns, it will be even further diminished.

Having said that, I do agree that Wembley will definitely do them no favours. I just fear for us too if we end up there for a couple of seasons.

Would be very surprised if Rose left seeing how much he loves the club. I get the feeling Dier would only leave if Alli did. Walker leaving wouldn't make them weaker, Tripper looks better in their formation and with the money being talked about for Walker they can get an upgrade for sure. 

Didn't think Leicester would get anything from that game last night, but to capitulate 6-1 at home is pretty pathetic from a team who are the "defending champions" ...

Players love money and medals  more than a club. as for Rose what makes you think he loves Spurs so much? Not sure when he was growing up in Donny did he dream of playing for them as a kid.

Not all of them. I'm going of his comments about the club, how he wants to be there for a long time and just the passion he shows when playing for them.

Re Jose rant about too many games.

Back in 1977 the FA Cup Final was played on 21st May.

The proposed replay date was I think Tuesday 7th or Wednesday 8th June !

This was due to Liverpool playing in the European Cup the following Wednesday.

Then the Home Internationals were played Saturday, Wednesday,Saturday after that!

From what's been rumoured and the precedent for those clubs I would say a lot. I can see both bringing in about 4 or 5 players and shipping out a handful too.

United have more money than any of the other clubs so they will spend whatever it takes without fuss be it 200 million or more. They will bring 4 or 5 big names of that I'm sure. Jose basically has a blank cheque book like he did here first time round.

City too will spend big to a lesser extent. They will be loosing some dead wood like Zabaletta, Nolito and Navas. I expect them to buy a new keeper, right back and midfielder. Up top they are strong and with players like Sane, Dec Bruyne and Silva they don't lack creativity. Pep will want to build his own side

Tbh I don't mind our rival clubs spending huge amounts on talented players. It makes the league stronger and more exciting.
