Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

Featured Replies

I'd assume that he'll be instead of Morata. Could be Conte has seen enough of Morata at the Euros to know he fit into his system. Or that he's seen enough of Michy to know he's what we need up front.

For the people saying he's too expensive didn't spend loads more on Martial?

Definitly looks like the type of striker that could thrive in England. Looks very strong and quick. Just hope his touch is decent.

His style reminds me a little of Bony at City.

Hopefully this boy is the real deal if he moves here.

Regardless wont be much of an effort to be better than Falcao, Remy and Pato.

He is known to have a good touch and is good in tight spaces which is why he may start against Wales ahead of Lukaku

I'm smelling a Kalou here

utterly bizarre comparison! Batshuayi is one of the best young strikers on the planet! 17 goals and 9 assists last season in Ligue 1 for an awful Marseille team, he is nothing like Kalou

You understand that at the same age kalou was smashing in the goals in holland, he won the yohan cruyff award and had the Dutch team doing all they could to sort his nationality out so he could play at the euros on 2004

and the Dutch league is renowned as the league you have to be careful when signing players from as so many who have had good records in Holland dont turn out to become great players! France is very different! players who do well there tend to turn out to become top players

I think tat that time the dutch league was just as strong as the french league now - stronger in fact. It doesn't matter, both leagues have there successes and failiures. At the same point Kalou looked like he could be a hell of a buy - it didn't work out, you have to give this guy the same kind of chances.

The Dutch league is hit and miss.

For every Ruud VN there is a Kezman

We brought in Drogba when he was a bit older with a similar scoring rate from France so it could be a very good move.

This. Drogba, Hazard, Zouma. Hopefully the trend continues.

Another we cant judge till we see him in action.

Worry is Lukaku starts in front of him for Belgium. And everyone knows what we think of him...

Wilmots also picks Fellaini over actual footballers so I wouldn't read too much into that.

Read a scouting analysis on him (difficulty finding it on my browser history) and though no an expert but glimpse I've seen and of course youtube make him see a player comfortable playing along side another. This could a silly observation on my part though.

Di Marzio first reported this and he's the most reliable of them all on twitter so this will happen I'd say. He's having a medical in the belgian camp I believe with chelsea doctors

Dont see many similarities with Kalou other then the fact that they are both promising young talents of African decent that might or might not live up to potential. Completely differnet players
