Yes he had a good season which is why a EPL came in for him. I'm not trying to justify any hype for him, there is no need all you need to do is watch his performances for the past few years.

You seem to be basing everyone on a good player wouldn't sign for Leicester when in reality they are a team filled with class players. Try broadening your horizons.

To quite a large extent, the footballing gaze of most English fans doesn't extend beyond their own league and certain elite clubs in Europe. Just because we didn't know about him doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't moving mountains; all accounts suggest that he was almost as exceptional for Caen in 2014/15 as he was for Leicester in 2015/16. I think some people just look at he signed for a team not expectant to challenge for things instead of actually looking at how the player actually performed both at Leicester and his previous club.

Kante's rise has been extraordinary but this is not a purple patch, he's been playing this way for a few years now.

I know they don't play the same position, I was referring to their influence in a team. So even if you wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me, I will still take Hazard or Willian over Pogba. I won't rate Pogba as a 100m player until he comes to the EPL and prove he is the best.

Willian isn't the best midfielder in the world but there were times last season that we were so terrible his his free kicks won us some games and at times points. Against PSG he was our most dangerous player anytime we attack with the ball. He is the sort of player that can create something out of nothing. I still believe without him we could have ended the season below 16th on the table.

That you need to use two players to try to undermine Pogba's ability I think inadvertently helps to prove my point about just how influential he is.

Pogba isn't a winger, nor is he a midfielder in the mould of Fabregas. He's a physical midfielder with incredible technique. Also, i noticed you failed to mention a key factor here. Goal scoring and chance creation. Pogba's goalscoring ability is far better than either of those players you mentioned, not to mention he glides up and down the pitch with the ball at his feet. There's a reason he's hot property in the football world. I'll take the views of managers like Mourinho, Guardiola and Conte who have won massive amounts of silverware over some bloke on the internet who's basic argument is 'Willian can pass and dribble' since they're two pretty basic skills required to be a pro footballer.
