He's a good player with a lot of natural talent, and if Conte intends on playing two strikers I think it will benefit him. I think Remy is a very useful option to have in the squad.

And again we don't have to buy him.

Given a run of games he is a very high level striker....trouble is his injury record last season was poor.

Another average player that is blocking youth. Is he really that much better than Traore just to have come on as an impact sub because he certainly isn't good enough to start.

It's either him or we spend insane amount bringing another striker in (like who???) and if Conte implements a 2-striker formation, Costa,Bats,Remy and a youth (Traore,Dom,Tammy) isn't bad. Besides given Costa and Remy's love for injuries, we are probably going to see youths play than expected.

Remy is sat on 75k a week to play about 300 minutes a season. What's the point?? Pato offered more than him last season and he only played one and a half games.

He went really stale last year sat on the bench. I liked him though before.

If he stays he needs to play more often, or it's a waste of time.

Very underrated player who stood in very well in 2014/5 and should have seen more game time last season. Saves us having to fork out on a replacement as well.

I'm very happy for Remy to stay. Injuries and almost zero trust ruined his chances to make an impact last season. With better rotation, he can do better for us.

Tbf he didn't ask to be benched. My point is we keep him rather than spend on another striker. The money can be utilized in improving more concerning positions in the team ie left back.

That's understandable. My point was more that Traore does exactly what he does already so why keep him. Sell him and reinvest in other areas and just promote someone. 

Always makes me laugh when people say such and such can do the job he does. Remy is a proven premier league goal scorer which none of our youth prospects are. End of the day you can rely a little on youth but it's not very likely you're gonna produce a Harry Kane.

He is going to get very little chance to play.

Complete unknown quantity at this point and if we're planning on a two striker system I wouldn't want to be left relying on him too much too soon. 

 

If we were able to get Morata, which is looking increasingly unlikely right now, I would be happy because you would have two new strikers who can rotate and take time to bed in and take the pressure off of each other. 

 

I like Traore but personally I don't think he's ready to shoulder the responsibility of regular replaying time if either of Costa of Remy picked up an injury that rules them out for a month, which given their track records is very likely you're left with Traore as your only reserve striker which I don't think is ideal. 

 

If we're only going to play one up top though I think the strikers we have at the moment should be suffice.

I suspect it's because no other club has put in a decent (or any kind of) offer for him.

I would of thought Pardew at Palace would take him in a heartbeat.

Remy also scored goals at QPR and in his first season with us when given a chance. Traore looks decent I admit but he isn't scoring goals like Remy was for us.
